Words of Wisdom for Couples

While I was eating, the tv was on and I was hearing female celebrities say that they'd just want someone unattractive because in that way, the guy won't cheat. In that way, the guy won't be sought by other women that will make the guy cheat somehow.

While I was pondering, I thought of girl friends of mine who have been waiting for so long (with agony) for the man they desire according to GOD's Will.

While I was thinking of a widow, I've thought that I will never tolerate debts made individually or as a couple after my husband and I get married. In that way, when one of us passes away (which is a reality that happens), the bereaved won't be left with all the debts.

I have been thinking a lot, weren't I? hahaha!

I have a booklet entitled "Words of Wisdom for Couples" compiled by Biblicard © Acts.

I'd like to share some of them with you.

Build Your Marriage by Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7
We live by faith, not by sight.

Take CHRIST as Your Partner

Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Serve GOD in Your Marriage

1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Be Faithful until Death

Ephesians 5:31
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

1 Corinthians 7:10-11
10To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

Be Loving to One Another

Colossians 3:14
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Ephesians 5:33
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Pay the Price to Build a Better Marriage

Romans 15:1
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

Seek Your Spouse's Highest Good

Proverbs 12:4
A wife of noble character is her husband's crown,
but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

Encourage One Another for Excellence

Proverbs 12:25
An anxious heart weighs a man down,
but a kind word cheers him up.

Show Exemplary Lives to Others

1 Peter 2:12
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Romans 12:17
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

Discourage Idleness in Your Work

Proverbs 12:11
He who works his land will have abundant food,
but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.

Seek Wisdom to Enrich One Another

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Proverbs 13:10
Pride only breeds quarrels,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

Make Decisions Together

Mark 3:25
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Be Committed in Your Marriage

1 Corinthians 7:3
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.

Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

Proverbs 15:13
A happy heart makes the face cheerful,
but heartache crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

Don't Let Jealousy Creep In

Proverbs 6:34
for jealousy arouses a husband's fury,
and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.

Learn to Say "I Love You"

Proverbs 25:11
A word aptly spoken
is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

Rejoice with One Another

Nehemian 8:10
...Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Ecclesiastes 9:9
Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love...

Don't Make Your Partner a Sex Object

Colossians 3:19
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

Husband, Love Your Wife

Ephesians 5:28-29
...husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it...

Value Your Wife as a Partner

Genesis 2:18
The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

Value Your Wife as a Person

1 Peter 3:7
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Take Pride in Your Wife

Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the LORD.

Proverbs 19:14
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Proverbs 31:10-12
10 A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

To Your Wife, Be Faithful

Proverbs 5:15-20
15 Drink water from your own cistern,
running water from your own well.

16 Should your springs overflow in the streets,
your streams of water in the public squares?

17 Let them be yours alone,
never to be shared with strangers.

18 May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

19 A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be captivated by her love.

20 Why be captivated, my son, by an adulteress?
Why embrace the bosom of another man's wife?

Wife, Submit to Your Husband

Ephesians 5:22-24
22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Be Beautiful for Your Husband

1 Peter 3:3-4
3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

Okay...these are the ones I can post for now. The other half maybe some other time if you'd want me to. hehehe!

I will always hold GOD's Promises for me and I will ever remind HIM the Promises HE has in HIS Word.

When it is written...

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

IT SHALL BE DONE!

This is the promise I stood by when I was still single. Well, when I was still not committed to anyone. hehehe! I'm still single but soon to be married. Hopefully very soon.

I am so overwhelmed with joy because I not only have a faithful fiance but he is also very goodlooking. More than what I desired. Expect the unexpected with GOD. I did not really wait so long and that is something I could really be thankful for with GOD. GOD gave me my beautiful blessing at the right time. GOD's Perfect Timing. I am very much pleased that GOD gave me a man who knows how to save and a wise spender so I do not have problems about debts. GOD's love and grace be upon us always! GOD IS AN EXTRAVAGANT GIVER OF LIFE AND BLESSINGS!

ALL OF YOU ARE BLESSED! TAKE CARE OF YOUR PARTNERS! MAKE GOD YOUR FIRST PARTNER AND HE'LL BIND YOUR MARRIAGE TIL ETERNITY!

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR PARTNER ABUNDANTLY!

ALL THE GLORY IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

P.U.S.H.

When you feel GOD's love, OVERFLOW!
