My Ministry Partner

I am super happy that GOD has given me a lifetime ministry partner.

A partner who wants to share the ministry of GOD with me. A partner who is willing to make sacrifices for the glory pf GOD. I am so blessed more than I could have imagined. One of my dreams is certainly coming true and soon we will be stronger when we become united as ONE.

Truly, when GOD plants HIS dreams and desires in your heart, you will overflow with joy and thanksgiving.

Two Beautiful Years

Love is indescribable but beautiful.

Two years of love. Could things get better? I believe so.

I could only boast of my LORD. My GOD who made it all possible for me to find my one true love.

I could get lost in the tingling feeling of my heart again when I try to reminisce. Okay, here it goes...

Before I met my Cody, I've read two wonderful books about true love. What to do until love finds you and when the Boy Meets Girl. You can check them out on my profile here. But anyway, those books helped me a lot. They helped my heart wait and what to do while I wait. In the waiting, my heart got filled with joy and peace knowing that he is out there. After 6 years of him having no girlfriend, I found him. Eve found her way back to her Adam. What a glorious match made in GOD's Hands! As we journey on as friends, we finally accepted that we were made for each other last April 25, 2008. When I think about it, GOD is truly amazing! So many things about Cody is just so perfect. Everything I desired in a man, he possesses. Now let me give a list of just how great GOD is in my life through Cody's character...

1.) One time, he admitted that he thinks about surprising me and sweeping me off of my feet by coming here without permission. Yes, that kind of surprise. (Oh well, we couldn't do it. hahaha! That's why he had to confess. hahaha!)

2.) We came to a deal that we will conceal our bodies from each other until our honeymoon night. As we all know, it is a manly thing that they can expose their upper part wherever. So we agreed on keeping our bodies from each other until our wedding day. (Of course, that also means being modestly dressed in public. I think it's sweet and he is a real gentleman.)

3.) I am super glad that he never had the desire to look at other women lustfully. I really desired for a faithful man in heart, mind, words and actions. GOD gave me Cody. An epitome of faithfulness.

The list goes on...

I am just really very grateful that our anniversary month is also the start of the processing of my visa. I am super excited! We have talked about our future. I am super happy that GOD gave me a man who actually thinks and plans for us as a couple. I like a man who dreams and have goals in life. He is a thinker. I am so amazed at how his mind thinks. He knows how to save money and not just waste it on anything. He is very concerned about my welfare and our future together. After 3 years of being friends by next year, we are finally going to be united by GOD and be together forever. It is much better to wait for now and enjoy each other, know each other more and face our differences rather than not wait and ruin the rest of our lives. GOD has taught me patience through this relationship. We have plans of touring together but that will be someday. But as we plan about these things, what makes me really anticipate them is to be with the man I truly love - hold his hands, stare into his eyes and kiss him once in a while. That is perfectly beautiful!

Cody, you have made the 2 years of my life the BEST! I was won back September 2007 and meeting you January 2008 is a great gift. We have grown together spiritually. I am forever cherishing you, my love. No man will ever do. I know you are the one. I am going to stay faithful, not because you are but because my heart only beats for you. I try to do everything I can to celebrate this occasion victoriously and really make you happy. Seeing you smile is one of my beautiful gifts. I love you so very much, my Cody!

Do i look like a bride???

I am finally getting married. Yay! I am blessed to be marrying the man i love next year. Yay!

There was a tribute for graduates at our outreach church the other week. I have 4 disciples who attend the youth services weekly. All of them graduated from High School. I wanted to make the tribute special so i bought 4 white Gerbers. I m trying to save money so i just planned on giving 1 Gerber per person. The lady wrapped them in a clear plastic. As i was in the jeepney, an old lady saw the flowers and asked how much each Gerber. I answered. She asked if the flowers were painted white. I told her no. She asked what i was going to do with it. I told her that i was going to give them. Then she said, Oh i thought you re gonna get married already. Did i look like a bride at that time? It just made me laugh and think. Maybe i really look like a bride. The eyes, the hair, the face. Possible. hahaha! Maybe my desire of being a bride overflows out of my heart. I am just so thankful i really am getting married very soon. First, i have gotten my FATHER in Heaven's approval, blessing and revelation to be a bride. Second, i have gotten my parents almost nonstop blessing and reminder to marry. Third, my disciples are happy for me. To make it more fun, someone i don t know thought of me getting married. I am super excited! THANK GOD!

Commitment

As a Phlegmatic, one of my traits is being lazy. When GOD won me back last 2007, everything has changed. GOD changed my heart. HE also used one of my role models.

Someone modeled to me his passion, commitment and love in work. He is always punctual. He is very dedicated to give his best everyday. No matter how physically draining his work can be, he lightens up his workplace through his greetings and encouragements with his co-workers. When asked to do overtime or work on holidays, he undoubtedly agrees to serve. Eventhough he is sick, he offers his utmost strength. It is not because of money since his family is well-off. It is because of commitment. He shows commitment in all aspects of his life. I know you want to know who he is. His beautiful name is Cody Lee Howe.

One of my struggles before is laziness. GOD changed me and HE gave me a helper - a role model. Cody, thank you so much for being my role model in commitment. I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH! 22 months and we're still standing strong. You are worth the wait, my love.

Our 23rd Monthsary

Yay! We have celebrated our 23rd Monthsary last Thursday. Fun! Exciting!

I could not ask for more. I am with the man i have desired all my life. I have longed for a relationship that will glorify GOD.

Amazingly, Cody and i are humbly doing that dream to glorify GOD. His neighbors, his workmates and my cellmates are amazed with our 2-year long distance relationship. Not only that, Cody s workmates have noticed his glow one day unexpectedly. The glow that brings light to his workplace. So amazing! Cody has been recognized as a child of GOD. I know it s something we both desire. It is a beautiful gift for our 23rd Monthsary.

Worth the Wait

I am so ecstatic!

After 2 years, a target wedding date has been born.

Soon it will be wedding day. hehehe! But no need to hurry. Although it can be very challenging to wait and to see each other just once for the 3 years we'll be together as a couple, i can definitely say "Cody, you are worth the wait" on our wedding day. How awesome!

I owe it all to GOD for a beautiful relationship and soon-to-be marriage. Thank GOD for Cody. The perfect man for me.

Wanted and Waited

My Cody wanted me so he waited.

He still wants me so he still waits.

Haste makes waste.

We ought to bring matters into the Hands of GOD.

As i was in the passenger jeepney earlier this morning, i just sat there patiently as the driver waits for passengers. It took him almost 30 minutes of waiting for passengers to fill his jeepney. It is not how a usual driver does in his everyday trip. I saw patience in him as we both waited. After 20 minutes, the jeepney was gradually filled by men and women. An insight came upon me. Patience truly has its own rewards. When we wait, we are able to enjoy every blessing that comes from GOD as blessings gradually flow in our lives and fill us up. No need to hurry. Just slowly being saturated by GOD will make you whole. A complete soul slowly but surely being prepared for GOD's Perfect Choice for you.

As Cody and i wait for our perfect wedding, for now, i just breathe in GOD's wholeness so i can be made whole. A great wife to my future husband and a great mother to my future children. An open vessel for GOD alone.

At the end of the aisle, i must be able to say, "Cody, you are worth the wait."

My Heart's Delight

This month is tough.

I made a commitment to GOD. A commitment that will determine my future. As I do my commitment, it taught me to be patient and obedient. Wait for the right time to decide, obey and make the final decision.

Thank GOD it's almost over but it was worth every sacrifice.

Before I share this final decision, along my journey, I was able to reminisce my Cody.

One thing that really touched my heart is when he told me that when he visited here, everyone looks ordinary and I stand out. Yes I own his heart, alright. hehehe! He never sees anyone better than me. I thank GOD for a loving and faithful soon-to-be husband.

As I wait, my GOD will give me victories.

After 2 Years...

...it still feels like the first time.

Cody and i met last January 1, 2008. Yes, i met him the very first day of that year. Certainly a new beginning for me. We are going to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary very soon. Cody, my love for you will never fail.

Two years later, i am still deeply in love with him. I still get the chills in my blood and bones whenever i hear his voice. I still get nervous whenever he tells me he loves me. This is a long journey but nothing is impossible with GOD. GOD's grace is truly sufficient. GOD makes all things new. GOD makes all things beautiful in HIS time. The positive always outweighs the negative. Thank GOD!

My Silver Year

When it comes to jewelries, oh how I LOVE silver. Not coz it's cheap but the elegance of it. For my eyes, that is.

25 speaks of a lot of things in my life. I am turning 25 this year on November. And obviously, Cody and I became official on the 25th of April. And we're going to get married on the 25th, if the LORD wills. Oh I'm so excited!

I have watched a new dvd I bought last week entitled "Come What May" and I watched it 5 times already. I admire the principles in that movie. One principle they've shown is not being into "dating" unless both parties are committed to marry. I'd contradict this principle before but when GOD transformed me, I've seen LOVE in a different light. I've given more importance to it. It's amazing. It never occurred to me until today. When I pondered on the very first time Cody and I talked, I admit that I was trying to search for the right man. But it is when I stopped that I knew the man I've desired all my life is already in front of me waiting. He was a very loyal friend. He never tried to get away from me. When I began to realize that, I knew then that he is the man I am going to marry. He was and is still very committed to me. He never (not even once) told me that he wants to break up with me. He is always very gentle and patient with me. Again, GOD confirmed that he has given Cody in my life to cherish forever.

I've heard in a podcast that before marriage, your relationship must be supported by family and friends. No friend or family member had contradicted our relationship. I waited for my parents to approve the visa we're planning to pursue before telling everyone else. I am very ecstatic to inform everyone that my parents officially approved the visa for me to move with Cody and Cody's parents are so excited to welcome me in their family. If the LORD wills, I am going to be married next year to the man I truly love. Well, I've already set the exact date so I just hope that GOD won't back out. hehehe! just kidding! GOD'S PERFECT WILL AND GOD'S PERFECT TIMING. Thank you for everyone who prayed. We will start the visa on October. I'm so excited!

Next is my 25th birthday. Oh yeah! My silver year! More glorious riches from GOD. Not material riches but riches in heaven that could never be bought with money. Seeing the face of my KING. Oh how wonderful! Words won't even suffice to describe the beauty my eyes will behold when I finally see my FATHER.

Last but not the least, our 17th monthsary today on the 25th of the month. Every month with my Cody is so rich with love and things of GOD that are priceless. Thank GOD!

Cody, you are my one-and-only forever. I will never cheat on you. I will always fear GOD that I may always protect you from being hurt. I will always be faithful to you. I will always serve you with all my heart. I will always submit to you because I trust your convictions that are of GOD. I trust that you will always be selfless and consider my best interests. Strengthen Your Marriage Through Selflessness

This is a post for the married and the ones yet to marry.

I have been reading a very insightful book entitled "Spirit-Controlled Temperament" by Tim LaHaye. I'd like to share some lines from this wonderful book. I highly encourage you to get a copy (not for advertisement but as a great help for the growth in your life).

"Nothing is more destructive to a marriage than selfishness."

"Anyone considering marriage should carefully examine the prospective partner's treatment of others, especially family members, for consideration of other people becomes a significant indication of future marital harmony."

"Partnerships of all kinds can suffer from selfishness. Two people start out a business as equal partners and selfishness creeps in, turning best friends into worst enemies. They may blame their conflicts on "personality differences" or "philosophical differences," but the bottom-line problem is selfishness."

I just LOVE reading books that correct my mistakes and soften the stubborn edges of my attitudes. This book tackled a lot about temperaments and inborn traits (negative and positive). If you want a happy life, read the books that will edify your soul and spirit, not the ones that will feed and tolerate the negativity of the world. This book is helping me a lot and it's amazing how everyday has a new lesson then whenever I read it, there are new insights that will strengthen me in my relationship with Cody.

Happiness is a choice. We all want to be happy. Selflessness is therapeutic and one of the many ways to attain happiness.

I am just so thankful that Cody is a selfless person. He is VERY considerate with everything that involves me. He is very loving and considerate of his family (parents and brother). We all undergo the teenage stage and we all feel something against our parents but amazing how this gracious man has been so kind to his parents. He is my role model when it comes to graciousness and humility.

~> This is one of Cody's most obvious qualities.

Okay I don't know if it's time to brag about GOD's blessings but I'll just use the term testify. hehehe! I must and I say, I MUST always testify GOD's amazingness in my life - in whatever aspect.

First of all, I'd like to describe Cody in Psychology terms. hahaha! (For Cody: I know you LOVE Psychology, honey. hahaha!) Cody is a double introvert when it comes to Temperaments. Well, for me, that is. hahaha!

Things I So LOVE About My Cody...

1.) Cody is not a self-professed Christian which is a great thing for me. You'll see his Christianity in his deeds rather than his words. He very much believe that GOD, love and family is priority rather than work, success and money. He desires for justice in every aspect. With how he acts, you'll already feel the holy, convicting fear that Moses once had when GOD revealed HIMSELF to him.

2.) Cody is very gentle when it comes to rebuking. He never just corrects me or rebuke me whenever and wherever. He knows his timing and he always has a gracious attitude. Gentle words but anointing flows from his mouth. You won't ever feel condemned with him unlike how others will act and you'll feel them say, "Hey I'm a Christian so listen to me."

3.) Cody is a gentle man. A lover of my heart, mind, soul, body and spirit. He always thinks of what I think and feel with whatever he say and do. He always thinks of me first before himself. He makes me feel VERY excited to be with him. He makes me excited for the expressive stares that I'll be getting from his beautiful eyes. One of the things that really left me in awe is when he told me that when I move there as his fiancée, I'll be living with his parents first and that we will marry within the first week of my arrival because he wouldn't like us to live in first before marriage. Okay, sorry, honey for revealing that. I'm just really amazed at how GOD gave me one of my ultimate desires that I never knew would happen and that is to have you. Cody believes that we will both discover everything in marriage and whatever comes along the way, we will handle it with GOD's beautiful love and amazing grace. He believes that I am the one and no one is more perfect to be his wife but me. Yay! I'm insisting myself. Yeah I know. Let him talk! hahaha!

For every princess of GOD who desires to meet their prince, wait for GOD'S PERFECT CHOICE according to GOD'S PERFECT WILL in GOD'S PERFECT TIMING.

For every princess of GOD who is now with their princes, let GOD always be the CENTER of your marriage.

For my beautiful blessing from GOD, my gentle Cody, just being with you at last will make my heart fleet like it has never before. Thank you for not believing the misconceptions before marriage. Thank you for your firm and great beliefs and deep convictions. Thank you for transforming into the man that GOD wants you to be. Thank you for being the humble person that you are. I am so grateful that GOD is using you mightily to minister to me in many ways you do not even know. hehehe! Thank GOD for creating you to be my leader, bestfriend, lover, and partner - ALL MY LIFE!

Never had it this good. Never loved like this before.

Inspite of all the differences, it is really much better to give thanks for the similarities.

When we try to linger on the differences and ponder, these thoughts can be used by the enemy. So instead of letting the enemy turn them into negative thoughts, we must use the differences to let us grow in character. Let the HOLY SPIRIT control you. Because with the work of the HOLY SPIRIT, things will only be greater.

Cody and i will get married soon. The love of my life. My reward from GOD. My beautiful blessing.

Our 15th Monthsary

Yay another month to celebrate!!!

After surviving a flu for 2 nights and 1 whole day, thank GOD, I am healed and am to celebrate another month gone by...a testimony of GOD's amazingness in my life...Cody and I's 15th monthsary!

When I woke up this morning, I was suddenly craving for Cody and just thinking about the very first time I saw him at the airport. All of our firsts together. My best memories are definitely with Cody.

Because of my sickness and Cody's busy-ness at work, I'm sure we both forgot this special day. hehehe! Well, we still have lots of hours left to celebrate it.

Whenever I watch my 3 favorite love-story tv series everyday, I always think of my leading man. My Cody. I would like to celebrate this day by sharing some of his sweetness that I saved in my phone...

you're right. you don't have the beauty of a celebrity. you're MORE beautiful.

i'll make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. because you are and because i love you!

well.. whatever you like. i'd do it for you since im not impressing anyone else (out of curiosity, i was asking him if he could shave his goatee for me hehehe)

i'm not just ready to settle down; i want to settle down with you.

I was also amazed when he told me earlier that he wants to be my #1 prayer person or the #1 person praying for me. In other terms, I also desire him to be my first prayer partner. My spiritual partner. I just really thank GOD so much for my very beautiful blessing.

Cody, I know I may not be perfect but I know that you are so perfect for me. In spite of our imperfections, we are a perfect couple because together, we make a great team. I am willing to commit myself to you all the days of my life. My love and commitment to you is forever. I am so thankful to have you. Trials may come and go but those trials make our relationship much stronger. I pray that we will always glorify GOD in this relationship. Let Your Needs Be Recognized

This is something I have learned from my parents after my dad's accident.

My dad has been more open and my mom has been more understanding and eager to reach out.

I am not yet married (I will be SOON!) but I have read in a book that whatever you practice outside marriage is what you will be doing inside your marriage. So while Cody and I are not yet married, we are doing things that will beautify our relationship each day. We become more vulnerable but we do not take advantage of the weaknesses. Instead, we fill each one of them with the strengths from each other. Since I have watched my parents' marriage from childhood, I've seen how my mom suffered. I cannot even describe the sufferings she experienced. When I see other couples who fight over the pettiest things (I'm guilty of that hehehe), I look at my mom. Then I think, "How could they (we) not overcome the sufferings when my mom went through a huge hurricane in her life but she still cares about my dad's being?" Then I start feeling blessed for having Cody in my life.

To summarize...my mom was born in a poor family. Very poor family. She worked hard when she was little and until now she still is working hard just to let us finish our studies (I've already finished mine and my other sister hehehe). All three of us. Along the way, she experienced the toughest trials in her life from her husband (also her daughters). I could not say all the details but I hope you start looking at your marriage as a blessing.

When someone asked my mom how she handled all of those and they still see her strong and not ever giving up, she simply said, "I have a GOD." The other woman answered back, "But I have a GOD, too." My mom replied, "Yes you do but I guess it's my grip on GOD that differentiates us." The other woman said, "I want to know your GOD more. I want to go to your church." Okay I'm not saying it's all about the church. hehehe!

Weeks ago, my dad went through a negative temperament that he was not able to control. It was horrible. But this was the start of their beautiful marriage. Why? My dad was able to tell my mom his needs that he couldn't say before. My mom admitted her shortcomings. She just needed a brave man to confront her. Okay now here's the warning: When you confront and point out faults, be gentle and pray first. Seek GOD first. When you share your needs, remember that your spouse is not your enemy. Your spouse is your partner and teammate. Each spouse should always feel that. Do not be selfish of giving yourselves to your spouses. Do not be prideful. Do not close your ears and hearts to the person you married. Do not be offended. One key: never be offended but take it as a challenge to be a better spouse and a better person. You'll see a beautiful change take over your marriage if you both do this. It can be very difficult depending on your personalities and temperaments so be patient. Before anything else, pray together. Always pray together.

I watched a tv show last night about a pastor and his wife which was based on a true story. He knew that she was sick but he still married her. She died. When I watch this kind of shows/movies, I began to see things in a different light. I see how blessed I am that Cody is still alive but I'm rude to him sometimes. hehehe! I see how impatient I could get and let my temperaments get to me and some people struggle coz of death or other heartbreaking reasons which unable them to show their love to their partners.

I shall leave you with something Cody told me that we both strongly believe about divorce...

the only solution is loving and forgiving. well.. and making wise decisions before marrying. that certainly provides stronger chances.

i meant there's no right solution by making divorce legal or illegal. man's laws shouldn't decide moral thoughts like that. i hope that might clear up any confusion.

about open communication...

it's very important we communicate like this and in this manner. of course, we should not make sure not to abuse it.

For divorce: I really hope singles will be more accountable with their actions and wiser with their decisions before marriage. We shouldn't let the legality of divorce dictate our decisions. Like for some, they just get married because they know that divorce is an option. As they say, trial and error. A survey I've read about divorce says, "...partners who are on their second or third marriage are 90 percent more likely to separate than spouses who are both in their first marriage." ~The study was jointly written by Dr Rebecca Kippen and Professor Bruce Chapman from The Australian National University, and Dr Peng Yu from the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.~ It is not healthy to jump from one relationship to another to test who is better. To take the chances that maybe someone is better out there when we can do better with the one we are with now. It can be a huge challenge, my friends, BUT it is very rewarding.

For open communication: IF it is very difficult to reach out to your spouse, you should both take the Temperament Test and somehow compromise, understand and love each other more. Always be considerate and patient. Patience has its own rewards.

I am not yet married and I am very much challenged by this open communication thing. Humans have that selfish nature but overcoming that nature makes us more victorious, joyful, lovable and peaceful creations. GOD'S PROMISES ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!

I know I know it's easy to say but it can be tricky to do all of these. So WATCH OUT and TEST YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS BEFORE SAYING AND DOING THEM. Enjoy your marriage and LOVE SOME MORE!!!

To Cody, my "original thinker man", you are so amazing. I really admire how your mind works. All your convictions from original thinking, without the influence of tv, books, movies or other external forces, are outstandingly awesome! You are a strong leader of our relationship and I entrust you our marriage. I trust that your intentions are pure and that you only want what's best for us. You are a strong-willed man and I admire that a lot about you. You don't let other people influence how you would act and think negatively and that just amazes me in ways I could not begin to describe coz of how overwhelming they are. In a great way. Thank you for being faithful to me for more than a year now. Thank you for desiring me alone. Thank you for putting GOD first in your life and being. I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH, MY FOREVER CODY!

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

I believe that GOD has so many promises in HIS Word.

On HIS promises, I stand.

Cody has been laid off for more or less 10 months. We have been waiting for him to have a new job. I admit that I have been impatient - which is my nature before. I desire to overcome my negative nature with the Fruit of the Spirit. I took matters in my own hands so we planned for him to move here if he doesn't get a new job this year. We also planned for him to visit very soon but now, it's all canceled. Why? Because after all the wait, Cody got a new job! Yipee! Thank GOD! Truly, PATIENCE HAS ITS OWN REWARDS. And the great thing is we can see the possibility of getting married soon - we're moving closer to our dream marriage! Yay!

JESUS CHRIST promised us an ABUNDANT LIFE so we must believe and trust that HE has already done that through the CROSS.

LOVE that Goes the Distance

You are unique. There is no one who is exactly like you. You may have similar qualities with others but not entirely. Same with your partner. Your partner is different from you. That should be a great thing. Why? Because if everything is similar, then it will get boring and complacent. Everything will be a routine. You just stay in one level of your life and you will never grow out of it because you're comfortable and complacent there. Trials and differences are the spices in a relationship.

Okay let me give you an illustration...You're craving for a hot chicken noodle soup in a very cold winter day. As you were sipping, it's just hot water you can taste. No salt, no pepper. No spices. Nothing to tickle your senses and give you so much delight. Same goes with marriage. No trials, no growth.

Women are cravers of a certain food. I am a craver. I usually crave for a certain food I want. It happens once a week. (Okay I rambled hehehe)

Whenever Cody and I experience complications, I always think why we have a long distance relationship. Why do we have to be distant when others could always be with the person they love every time they desire? (Feel blessed that the person you love is with you right now.)

My nature was being immature, impatient, stubborn and not gentle. When GOD won me back, I've desired to change that nature. I desire to be selfless and to glorify GOD. No rules attached. After a year of being with Cody, I still felt envious of other people even though I know that we have a beautiful blessing bestowed upon us.

It all changed.

I almost gave up. I was in the brinks of falling apart. GOD caught me in time and brought the pieces together. In HIS Perfect Timing. HE changed selfishness into LOVE. Pure, selfless and true LOVE. I can't even begin to explain it. It's indescribably amazing!

I could feel the JOY and PEACE overflowing in my heart. Just rushing in me. I could feel the grace of GOD that is wrapped around me. I could feel unconditional LOVE. Once again, HE revealed my rhema verses about LOVE. And this time, it turned me around - into a totally different person. I have never loved like this before. Now I can honestly say that with all of me. HE changed envy with satisfaction. HE changed selfishness with selflessness. HE changed anger with forgiveness. HE changed misery with joy. HE gave me the ABUNDANT LIFE that HE promised us. I just woke up one day and began to feel HIS perfect love. I sang a song in my heart. I desire to live 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 14:1. I will let love be my guide.

So I asked myself again. Why this distance? I heard HIM whisper to my heart that if I cannot be mature, patient, unstubborn and gentle when we're distant then I cannot be when we're together. The things we practice before marriage and the things that we will bring into marriage. It is a matter of choice. Now I know HIS great purpose for this distance. I am growing to be the person that HE wants me to be and I could never be this happy and contented. I can be the richest person in the world with regards to money but happiness cannot be bought. There is that void in us that only GOD can fill. It is a matter of choice. Free will was given to you by our Precious FATHER.

GOD has opened a door that has never been opened by anyone before and that is the door called "GROWTH" and all the glory belongs to GOD alone.

I am super thankful that GOD gave me a man who desires to complete his commitment and to never give up on me. The man who never stopped loving me.

We all have one GOD. We have the same GOD. When trials come, the question is not HIS existence in our life (because HE is always present) but how tight we hold onto HIM. GOD is holding onto you right now. Ever so tightly. And HE never let go. Are you holding onto HIM, too?

Your Adam and Your Eve

As my parents and I were eating lunch together, my parents were talking about my cousin who works there at the school. For some reason, my mom ended up concluding that my aunt is the woman who was meant for my uncle-in-law and that she was gotten from his ribs. Amazing insight!

I suddenly thought of my Cody.

This is the insight that has been bestowed upon me...

Genesis 2:21-23
So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman, '
for she was taken out of man."

Genesis 2:16-17
And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

As we all know, they both ate from that tree.

Since GOD is Spirit, I was thinking that the separation of this couple from GOD was mostly about spirit. The couple was also separated from each other spiritually.

So physically a certain couple is separated from each other until GOD's Perfect Timing for them to meet and marry physically and spiritually. United as one in all aspects.

I also would like to share a text message that my sister sent to me last week...

I don't know if GOD cries, but I imagine HIM crying when HE had to see Adam and Eve leave the garden of Eden. And at that very moment, I hear HIM whisper, "Don't worry. I'm gonna get you back. Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes."

I am not gonna tackle about Theology as it is going to be a very deep lesson. hehehe! I can start sharing when I start attending my classes at Bible school. Oh jeez I'm excited!

A Faithful Man of GOD

A woman is full of emotional struggles. But our GOD is full of love and grace to overcome those struggles.

I'm just very thankful that my Cody is a man after GOD's own heart. He may have his own share of failings but along the way, he seeks GOD alone. I'm so thankful about that because with this kind of foundation, it produces maturity and stability.

I would like to inform you that the things I share are not rules that I abide but lessons that I humbly learned from our dear FATHER.

My friend and I went out the other day and she asked me how she would know if a guy truly loves her. I asked questions and let her shared whatever she wants to share. Then, she spilled that she doesn't trust any man. She thinks that every guy is lying to her. I then advised her to change first and to have JESUS CHRIST as the foundation of everything. I also assured her that women mostly say things that are different from what they really feel. Admitting our weaknesses as women doesn't make us weaker but it definitely shows GOD's strength in us.

Anyway, I just want to share something about my beautiful blessing. I'd like to glorify GOD that by waiting for HIS Promise to me, I have received a beautiful man. One of my heart's desire is to have a faithful man as my husband. Why? I've been cheated on plenty of times that caused me to fear a lot. GOD IS GREAT for taking away every fear and changing it with hope, trust and love. So many times, I've been hit on by guys. Guys would come up to me to get my number. Don't get me wrong. I'm not even really proud of this coz now, I really do think that if a man has the courage to hit on me, why wouldn't he be brave enough to hit on other girls, too, right? Now, every time a guy would try to get my number out of nowhere, I just ignore him and get really annoyed. I can't help but think how many girls he had asked numbers from within that day. So I'm very thankful that Cody didn't hit on me. I befriended him first which was not my thing. hehehe! There was something about him. The warmth in his eyes. The cute facial expressions. After a few months of being friends, the love developed until we were inseparable emotionally and spiritually. Well, we're distant physically. Now it's more than a year and we're still together fighting for our love. For the love that we've always believed in. The love that makes us grow. GOD IS LOVE.

I can truly say that Cody is a faithful man of GOD. Whenever problems arise, the first thing he does is pray. Whenever his heart sinks coz of pain, he calls out to GOD. Sometimes, he tries to set me aside for a moment and pray to GOD. I can never be thankful enough for the Cody that I have now. I'm grateful that I haven't met him 10 years ago. GOD's Perfect Will in GOD's Perfect Timing.

Just amazing.

Yay another beautiful month!

Every day with Cody means so much to me. It's a beautiful survival.

14 speaks of Deliverance and Salvation.

This month, my prayer is full of these words. Deliverance because of what happened to my dad and the history of it all. Deliverance is a word used by my mouth so much. hehehe! Salvation is something that I am very grateful for. Without salvation, I won't have peace in my heart. GOD's Peace.

Cody and I are two different people and a Christian couple. But you know what? We undergo trials. That is something we know that everyone encounters. My number one desire in our relationship is to be a couple after GOD's Own Heart.

Cody has been my partner and friend for 17 months now. He is such a faithful man. This relationship is my first ministry. My top priority. I will be substandard to other ministries if I fail in my soon-to-be marriage. As I go about my everyday life, one thing that I really desire is to have Cody with me physically doing GOD's ministry. Cody has spiritual gifts and I know he will make a great spiritual leader and ministry partner as he is already. As we all know, it is much different to have your lover by your side and being a team.

Cody, thank you so much for everything. You are my every dream come true. You are my heart's desire that I never expected but I'm very much thankful for. You are my reward. CONSIDER YOURSELF BLESSED!!!

This is just a short post.

I have been watching a tv series. The lead man was being asked to marry a woman he doesn't love just because of business. So now, he has to choose between his family (dad and sister) or the woman he loves dearly. This does not only happen in movies. It also happens in real life. I have heard myself complain of how difficult it is to deal with trials in the relationship with the man I love. Come to think of it, there are other people who suffer endless pain because they have married someone who they don't love or they are arranged to marry just because of money/business.

Again, if you have married someone you love or yet to marry your soulmate but you experience trials along the way, CONSIDER YOURSELF BLESSED, my friend!

Most of the time, we need to count the many, little blessings we get in order to appreciate what we have because what we have is actually the BEST for us. If we choose to believe that WITH GOD, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, we will see beautiful miracles everyday that we haven't encountered before.

I feel blessed that I have Cody - the man I love. THANK GOD!

Love Letter? I call this "My FATHER's Love Letter" because I wrote a letter about the man I love to our FATHER.

Habakkuk 2:2
Then the LORD replied:
"Write down the revelation

so that a herald may run with it.

Definition:
herald - An officer whose business was to denounce or proclaim war, to challenge to battle, to proclaim peace, and to bear messages from the commander of an army. He was invested with a sacred and inviolable character.

We are GOD's army. We are always in a spiritual battle.

I would like to share a sample of my letter...

Father,

Tonight, I petition (Cody's complete name) from You to be my LIFETIME PARTNER who seeks and pursues You more than he does to me. I declare our love and commitment for each other to be forever until eternity...I seal all of these with the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST wrapped in Your love and faithfulness. I bind the works of the enemy in our relationship. Your peace and kingdom be upon our relationship and upon us. I claim the shield and buckler of Victory be wrapped around us everyday.

I was reading text quotes from long ago in my phone. I have felt so much encouragement rush in me and right through where the bones and spirit have been separated. Then, GOD impressed upon me to write in "MY THOUGHTS" notebook. I was inspired to write this letter. I am going to write more about our similarities and differences. The purpose of this letter is to remind me of my ultimate purpose and it will serve as an encouragement to run this race and so I may complete my commitment and remember my love for this man everyday whenever trials arise. It will serve as a reminder of my covenant to GOD. Similarities will make me appreciate more of him. Differences will drive me to love him more. All of these will serve as a reminder that everyone is unique and different from each other. This is also a proof to let you know that I also undergo trials, pains and struggles in life. The only Key I have that makes me strong is GOD.

I am not perfect. But I refuse to be a loser so I shall be a fighter. Not against the man I love but with him, I will continue to fight in this race called life.

My friend, I advise you to do the same. I assure you that it will enlighten you and make you think of all the beautiful things about your boyfriend or spouse. Read it when you don't feel like desiring him. Read it when you're sad. Read it when you're upset or mad. Letters have a way of changing something in us. A very good way.

Just a thought I shall leave you...do you want to leave a legacy of someone who never gave up?

A Covenant of Commitment

Before reading this, you must commit into reading the whole article I've written because every word is important. At least for me. hehehe!

I'm committed to making things work...not only that, I'm committed to LOVE and FAITHFULNESS!!!

Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

I'm committed to GOD. My only KEY that I wouldn't allow anyone to take away from me in making my relationship with Cody work is GOD. Honestly, I can have all the positive qualities in the world just to make things work but then, all else will fail but GOD will never ever fail.

I've seen the importance of the spiritual aspect in my life. All of my relationships in the past weren't grounded on GOD. All of them failed. One of the most intense topics and very delicate, if I may say so, is the spiritual subject. Cody and I have strong personalities and strong, deep convictions and the spiritual aspect has always been a huge issue for us. So one thing that we made sure is to communicate about it and respect each other's views and convictions. I have imprinted in my mind that Cody is not my enemy. That would make things a LOT easier for couples. Some people would easily get upset when their partner has done something that have made them upset and they would act like their partner is the enemy. Well, in fact, we must look deeper. The battle is not just the physical, it is MORE ON THE SPIRITUAL. In order to know more about the spiritual is to have an intimate relationship with GOD first. I do not want to make it a routine, a habit or even a law to abide. I desire a personal and very intimate relationship with GOD because I know that WITH HIM, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

I say these things because I experience and learn them on my own.

So anyway, some messages that Cody sent me days ago have really touched my heart...

i've absolutely opened my mind to the things you share with me. and then i can turn to the Scriptures, to GOD's Word for further study and verification. it would be no different than what i would do if i'm in the same situation with someone i worship with here, or something i get from Bill (their preacher). i don't prescribe to a certain set of beliefs from people around me, say, in a worship setting. so i do always open my mind to what you share with me.

yours is the face i think of. nothing else comes to mind. it's like there's always an image imprinted in my mind.

This is his covenant of commitment to me. One thing I've noticed about Cody is that he is always ready to work things out. He is always open and willing to communicate. I've been inspired by this attitude to strive it more each day instead of manipulating him or taking advantage of his positive qualities or even worse, take him for granted. None of those negative things shall I do to him. One important thing I've learned is that if I desire change, I myself must change. I must be a model. I must not practice hypocrisy if I wanted to be treated right and fairly.

I must admit that having a relationship is not easy. I speak like things are so easy but that's not the case. I have personal struggles that affects my relationship with Cody. But you know what happens if you have an intimate relationship with GOD? You feel so different. I've never felt this before with my past relationships. I've never felt so much joy, peace and love with GOD. GOD IS MY STRENGTH!

More love...My friend, MORE LOVE!

I am a product of a SUPER tested marriage. You have no idea what my mom is going through right now and all the things she has gone through. She also wanted to get away from it all but she loves my dad and she loves GOD above all.

I'll encourage my mom to make a book about her life so that she'll also be a huge encouragement for others especially women. Imagine your husband forgetting your name and that you're his wife just because of amnesia. That really hurts for my mom. I've seen her face flush with so much pain and it seeps into me but I stay strong for my mom. Two nights ago, my dad didn't want my mom beside him so she slept beside me in my bed and she cried her heart out. I just let her cry and gave her tissues (an encouragement to cry some more hehehe jk). GOD IS GREAT! HE MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME!

More to know at my other blog "GOD is our First Love." I'm not advertising my other blog. hehehe! Although, some points should go there. So off we go to the other blog. hehehe!

Oooops...I almost forgot! I need to testify one thing. I've asked my parents about my future wedding. I have both of their approval and blessings. GOD IS SO GREAT! I've been so pressured about telling them this before. I'm quite comfortable now. They have made me comfortable. Now, Cody, it's your time to shine. hehehe! Cody, it's your time to ask for permission. hehehe! Everything is falling into place under GOD's Perfect Will and Perfect Timing. I'm also taking care of something that will add up to the blessings. I pray that it works out. ALL MY FAITH IN GOD! I'M PUTTING IT ALL ON THE LINE NOW! ALL MY FAITH! IT'S ALL GOD!

I have been struggling lately. Only GOD knows. I couldn't keep it from Cody so I finally shared it with him. I released my vulnerability to my GOD-given partner - my supposedly confidante and comforter in the human world.

I asked about our relationship of more than a year, "What if it's all just a test?"

Here are 2 of the messages he told me...

we could make up a lot of what-ifs. sometimes people let that rule their life. i'm sure it happens quite frequently concerning spiritual matters.

i can just tell you i've been committed to you for over 14 months and continue to be committed. you have all my devotion and commitment i can offer in a relationship.

FYI, Cody and I do not like the phrase "what if" because of rational reasons but then there are times I struggle. Women are known to be emotionally helpless and weak. That is mainly why men are the leaders and the decision-makers. I'm still human. I am not perfect. But I thank GOD for the existence of Cody in my life. An instrument of GOD's love, grace and strength.

I always watch this tv series (love story) during 6 in the evening. Lily of the valley has been highlighted. They said that you only give this flower to the one you love. In the Bible, GOD is the Lily of the Valley. So with all of me, I give this flower to Cody. I share with him my GOD. Our GOD. Our First Love.

Stare at Your Spouse

Yes, stare at him. Then, think of all the wonderful things you adore about him. Reasons why you married him. Well, if you're a male, use "her" instead of him. hehehe!

I was telling my friend about the fiancee visa I was trying to fix with an ex before. She was asking about visa's. Then she suddenly uttered, "You're supposed to be in the US right now. Why did you break up with him?" I told her, "If we didn't break up, I wouldn't have met Cody."

Right at that very moment, I felt peace. I felt joy. I felt LOVE. Whenever I utter Cody's name, I feel so much love in me.

You and I have different predicaments but that doesn't mean that only my lessons are right. All our situations and decisions should be grounded on GOD's Beautiful Word because HIS Word is grounded on HIS Love.

I would not like to give a sermon here. I just would like to be thankful of my beautiful blessing and just stop thinking negatively even if things get difficult at times. I'd like to share messages he sent to me today...

will you be able to apologize at the time of an incident? would you be able to compose yourself in a manner that is genuinely apologetic? would you be able to recognize it then and there without having to go through an argument and period of silence?

(I'm the silent type when I get upset. hehehe)

i understand. i'm just curious if you can realize when you're acting out and desire to make it known to me and ask right then and there to make things better. so as to put an immediate stop to the negative feelings. it's like monitoring our behavior on a continual basis

well, it's also a humility thing. we have to trust the other person (in this case, the person we love so dearly) won't use it for manipulation or just rub it in

I would not like to compare spouses here. My relationship is not better than anyone. I just would like to share how Cody sees predicaments. If your spouse couldn't be the man you want him to be, you could, at least, be the starting point of his change. In all things, do them with love and humility then you shall live peacefully and joyfully.

Look at your spouse. Stare. Think of all the beautiful things about him and ponder about those.

I thank GOD because Cody is my spiritual leader. Cody is a very loving man who desires beautiful growth and changes in our relationship. GLORY TO GOD ALONE!!!

Cody, thank you for giving me yourself completely and desiring to grow with me in all aspects of our lives. I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH, MY FOREVER CODY!

The Gentle Art of Confrontation
Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ.
No family is without conflicts, and when we let conflicts simmer without confrontation, they have a habit of boiling over and affecting our spiritual lives.
William Wordsworth said: "He who has a good friend needs no mirror." Family members can learn to be each other's best friend by learning the gentle art of confrontation. Blessed is the marriage where both spouses feel the other is a good friend-one who will listen, reflect back, understand and work through whatever needs to be dealt with. Occasionally all this requires loving confrontation.
Of course, we must face the fact that some of us don't want to be confronted. Some people would rather be comfortable than Christlike. Many of Barbara's best statements to me are the ones that hurt a bit, but I need to hear them because they keep me on the right track.
Learning loving confrontation starts with love. As 1 Corinthians 13 points out, love expects the best of others. There's no way to confront someone else productively if you expect the worst or have a chip on your shoulder.
Loving confrontation is not nagging. It states its position without dragging it out for days. Being nagged at is no fun. Someone has said it's like being nibbled to death by a duck.
Christian confrontation doesn't accuse; it focuses on "I" language, with my saying plainly how I feel. It avoids "You" language, which inevitably sounds condemning. There's a world of difference between saying, "I really don't like arriving at church late-can I do something to help?" and "You always make us late!"
Also, keep in mind that the people you love, but need to confront, are not your enemies. Your mate is never your enemy. Christian confrontation requires that you speak the truth-but always in love.
Prayer:
For the courage to confront-lovingly-and also for the wisdom to know how to speak the truth in love.
Discuss: Areas of agitation you try to suppress in order to keep a smooth relationship. Are you being honest with yourself or those you love? When should you bring up a problem issue?

Faith makes a marriage work. It's an invisible but active ingredient in a marriage that is growing spiritually. It's the catalyst that causes you to implement biblical principles into your relationship, trusting God to use your obedience to build oneness.

Cleaving and Commitment

For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
A lot of people have taken romance to the classified ads these days. One that I ran across points out the need for commitment. It was from a young man who was courting a young lady and it really mirrored our times. It read:
To Mary. My love for you would climb the highest mountain. My love for you would cross the hottest desert. My love for you would cause me to swim the widest stream. My love for you would cause me to die at the stake for you. Love, Jim. P.S. I'll see you Sunday, if it doesn't rain.
That's the way a lot of people are today. Their commitments are about six miles wide and one inch deep. One reason why we have lost romance in our relationships is we don't understand commitment, and we don't practice it in everyday life.
I'll tell you when commitment is really tested-during what I call the "marriage drift." That's what takes a relationship from the balcony, when you're being swept off your feet, to the battlefield, where you turn against your mate.
When God calls a man and woman to "cleave" to one another, He means for them to make a lifelong covenant that could only be broken by death. They leave one relationship (with their parents) and establish a total dependence and commitment to a new person.
Commitment enables two people to get to know each other and to work through life's difficulties when they face them. If you don't have commitment, you're going to find a way out of that marriage relationship. Today it's easier to get out of marriage than it is to get out of a record club.
Prayer:
Reaffirm your wedding vows to one another in prayer by acknowledging your absolute commitment to your spouse.
Discuss: Have you seen the "marriage drift" occur in your relationship? How?

Confront and Support
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman

"Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company" (Acts 15:37-39).
Conflict in the workplace, in ministry, or even marriage is inevitable because you are working closely with one another. God has wired each of us with different personalities that can view circumstances differently. One person can see a situation and conclude something totally different from another.
There are times when differences and conflicts just cannot be resolved. It doesn't mean that one person or the other is evil or sinful. It just means that the difference of opinion or the personality clash has no solution.
We see an example of this in the relationship of Paul and Barnabas, two partners in Christian ministry who had a sharp disagreement regarding a young man named John Mark. In Acts 15, we see that Barnabas wanted to take John Mark on a missionary journey. However, Paul refused. John Mark had disappointed him once before and Paul didn't want to give him another chance. In the end, Paul and Barnabas agreed to disagree and to part company. Paul went one way; Barnabas and John Mark went another. Sometimes, that's the only solution to a disagreement.
There's a postscript to this story: In 2 Timothy 4:11, Paul writes from his prison cell in Rome and tells Timothy, "Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry." Sometime after the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas, John Mark redeemed himself and became a valued partner in Paul's ministry. In fact, as Paul faced execution in Rome, he wanted his friend John Mark at his side.
Whenever there is disagreement, make sure you maintain support of the person at the same time you disagree with their position. Avoid personal attacks and implying motive behind someone else's position. This will allow you to disagree and still maintain a relationship.

Cody, thank you for making me learn more from you. Thank you for sharing your convictions. Thank you for the love, patience, commitment and faithfulness. You are incomparably amazing. Thank you for being a leader to me. I know GOD has a purpose why HE gave me to you. You are the one. GOD has constantly revealed that to me. GOD DESIRES TO SEE US TOGETHER FOREVER! GOD UNITED US YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER! You are my GOD's Perfect Choice, GOD's Perfect Will in GOD's Perfect Timing. I will never regret I met you. A New Beginning of a Beautiful LOVE

...And I thought it was the end.

If you are one of my faithful readers of my other blog about GOD, you already know what happened to my dad. Cody is also in a difficult time right now because his beloved aunt has liver cancer. Both of us are sad about the circumstances. To top it off, we had another complication and ALMOST broke up last night.

I have been in a very down stage this week. I admit that I got very prideful and tried to take matters into my own hands. But I'm so glad that GOD is always faithful to me. HE is full of neverending grace.

Everything was so heavy in my chest last night when I fell asleep crying in my bed. When I woke up, the heaviness was obvious. I got used to waking up forgetting everything that happened the night before but this morning was different. So I surrendered everything to GOD. Something strong was tugging in my heart. I knew I was not at peace. I chose to listen to what GOD has to say and just obey. I sat in the living room quietly for a few minutes. I was thinking of Cody. Suddenly, I thought of the word "LOVE." Then I thought of my favorite verses that I forgot to say aloud to myself this week. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

I went straight to my computer and checked my email if I have new email devotionals. I did and this caught my attention "Crosswalk Daily Update: How to Hear from God When You're in a Crisis -- May 21, 2009" so I clicked it.

This email devotional is exactly what I needed. I believe that the Holy Spirit was the One who convicted me and whispered the word "LOVE." I have learned a lot about signs when I was transformed and it became my pet peeve. Another article I've read back then introduced these verses to me...

The Demand for a Sign

Today is a new beginning. I love Cody and I have never loved like this before. I respect him and he deserves it. One revelation I received the other night is when I was watching a tv series and the lead man said, "Let's set our differences aside and let's work together."

LOVE and continuous communication are beautiful keys in a relationship.

Today is a new beginning of a beautiful love. I must say that this is just the beginning, never the end. Monday next week is another celebration - our 13th monthsary...YAY!!!

I am very grateful that whatever happens, Cody is always faithful to me. That I am his one-and-only. In spite of our complications, he never tries to confide to other women or run to vices. I am very thankful. ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

A Different Kind of Creativity

And I thought I was creative enough...wait til you see Cody's stuff! hehehe!

On our latest anniversary, Cody and I had a complication which made him forget to give his surprise for me. So last night, out of nowhere, I realized that he never gave me anything. It made me sad. I always liked his creativity referencing to our past monthsaries (monthly celebration of being officially together as a couple). So I gave him an ecard and confronted him that I was quite sad. When he woke up, he saw my ecard. Suddenly, he remembered his special gift for me.

I have my own weird creativity. hehehe! He likes it. He has his own creativity. I like it! hehehe! We both admire each other's work but we don't admire our own works. Yeah we're a weird couple. I love it though!

I've expressed in this blog my creativity. I'll share what he did for me on our anniversary. Though it wasn't big as you would think, it's the best gift I've ever received on my very first anniversary with a real man.

So he sends me one email at a time. Six emails all in all. Though, I won't share everything since Cody is very strict with photos when it comes to the internet. Just for security purposes. As I open every email, there's a photo and message in it.

The Perfect Marriage

Oooooooooops...were you looking for an article that will talk about a couple who has a perfect marriage? Or ways on how to have a perfect marriage? Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you but there is no such thing as a perfect marriage.

But wait...I've got some GOOD NEWS!!! I know of a PERFECT GOD who can make your marriage beautiful.

Again...there is no perfect marriage. Did that relieve you of other people's expectations of your marriage? I hope so.

Moving on.....

Each one of us has differences. Cultural differences, upbringing differences, environmental differences, personality differences, gender differences...what else? Every difference you can think of that will make you unique from others. The only similarity we all have is that we have the same GOD.

Definition:
God - the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe

Whether you believe it or not, GOD is the Creator of the Universe. It's the truth.

Moving on.....

Let's go back to differences. These differences make us unique that most of the time cause complications in a marriage.

If you are someone who chose to love an opposite sex, you better read this. If you are someone who chose to commit to an opposite sex, you better continue reading.

Cody and I came to the conclusion last year to change and grow before our marriage because we desire to protect our marriage. We don't want to make mistakes that other couples do and that's divorce. Whatever habit/attitude you practice outside marriage (probably when you're still single, in a relationship or engaged), you could easily adapt it in the marriage.

Definition:
adapt - conform oneself to new or different conditions

I've heard and read a lot of couples say that marriage is not easy as you think it is. I certainly believe that. That's why I'm starting to read more marriage books and articles now that encourage to run the race unconditionally.

Cody and I have many differences. I must admit it is never easy especially with the distance (8000 miles). There are times that I just want to hug him and just cry over his shoulder because of the differences. In the past, I'd usually just turn my back on any complication and pretend that nothing happened. It was tolerated. Do you think it helped? Never. I jumped from one relationship to another. Trying to find the perfect mate and the perfect relationship. Thinking there is someone better out there.

Things changed. My views changed. I had a total makeover.

Cody came to my life. He helped me see realities in life. Beautiful and wise convictions he shared with me. Cody helped me see that there is no one better out there. Not because he is perfect but because no one is. So the solution we have is to surrender our lives to GOD and work on everything in this relationship.

We had a complication yesterday - on our anniversary. Differences. Women are very emotional while men are rational. I was more emotional before. It was unhealthy. I get irritable, I let the enemy control my emotions through my thoughts, I get vulnerable. Be careful, ladies. The enemy can and will try to use your thoughts until he could conquer your emotions. Try to check yourself if you have any ingrained habits or dysfunctional behavior. Deal with it. Ask GOD's help and make your mate your accountability partner who would encourage you. Do not ignore or tolerate it.

It was so difficult. I've said things that have hurt Cody and made me cry so much. He went to sleep without us resolving the conflict because of me. I wanted to give up. I prayed so hard. I took a 4-hour nap. When I woke up, I pondered. I was calm and wiser with my decisions - IT IS ALL GOD! I slept all throughout the night. I woke up and told myself, "I am so prideful." I love him and I couldn't even show it. I know deep inside me that I'd never desire any man but him. He is the man I desire. So I decided to humble myself to him and be honest about what happened to me. We talked through Skype. He knows that I'm emotional. He also knows that it lessened already - GLORY TO GOD! I've read this last night from "Glimpses of an Invisible GOD" - manuscript written by Vicki Kuyper and Stephen Parolini and compiled by Angie Kiesling...

The truth is, everyone's going to die trying. Trying to change ingrained habits or dysfunctional behavior is an ongoing process, even when you're leaning on GOD's strength for help. Don't beat yourself up when you fail. GOD extends grace and forgiveness, not a paddle and a dunce cap.

I admitted to myself that being too emotional and letting it take over me is a dysfunctional behavior I have. The first step to healing is admitting there is a problem. Being too emotional can lead to regretful decisions or painful remarks. I told Cody that I made a huge mistake and asked forgiveness. I admitted to him that I need his help. Also, we prayed before we talked. I led the prayer. He heard things that I desire to happen and things that came from my heart. I asked forgiveness from GOD and from Cody. I assured Cody that next time, I'd tell him when I'm emotional and I'd ask for his help and encourage me. I need him to be my accountability partner. He lovingly agreed. I suggested that next time, we could quickly point out anything that affects/upsets us then I'd call him right away so we could talk about it. It's cheaper for me to call. hehehe! It takes courage and honesty to do this, I know. I desire a beautiful marriage so I am willing to open myself up. We also decided to be very calm about spiritual things. We concluded to share our views, beliefs, opinions and convictions and if they're different, we could somehow compromise. If we couldn't, we could just respect each other, be calm about it and understand our differences. We assured to be on each other's team all the time. I also suggested to read a certain verse or chapter in the Bible daily as our devotions and share views/convictions. We could also share some testimonies about it or experiences. Freedom of speech. hehehe!

Humility, honesty, respect, understanding and love are some of the keys to a beautiful marriage.

You don't have to turn around and give up. You can stand up to the enemy and humble yourself to your partner. Be open and resolve complications. You don't have to undergo divorce. Open a mature conversation and be willing to communicate gently, calmly and lovingly. Don't run away. If you have to run, run to GOD.

Love will bind you together. GOD will seal it.

He still makes me blush. In fact, everyday he does.

Before we were born, GOD has already planned our future together. I believe that more beautiful things will come. The distance made us learn patience, commitment and true love. Thank GOD for a fulfilling and strong relationship. I consider this marriage. All we need is legalities to say so but GOD taught us integrity and faithfulness so we are willing to wait for the dream wedding to happen. All in GOD's Hands, Will, and Timing. It is Perfect. GOD IS PERFECT.

I have a friend who never had a boyfriend. She's 24 now. She is wondering when will she get married and why she doesn't have a boyfriend until now. I believe GOD is preparing her for the best.

Just like what GOD did to my life.

I've had plenty of boyfriends. Sometimes, I wish I waited for Cody so he could be my first boyfriend. I could not linger on the negative and wish for the past to change. What I can be grateful now is that Cody is my first love and my last (earthly, that is).

I've learned a lot from my past. I've been mistreated and I've mistreated others, too. I've been a rebel. I've talked trash. I've disrespected others. I've shown hate and anger to others. I've been an emotional wreck. When GOD found me and transformed me completely, beautiful changes started flowing in my life. I've learned what TRUE LOVE means.

I've learned who GOD is in my life. GOD is my top priority. My number One. My First LOVE.

That is when GOD started to change everything. Every situation. Most of all, GOD changed me. An overall makeover.

Then came Cody.

When Cody came to my life...oh rather...when I came to Cody's life (hehehe), I've learned more about love. I've learned how to be selfless. I've learned to share myself and GOD to others.

Now, I am on my journey to marriage. I am desiring for our wedding this year because I love Cody. My desire keeps growing stronger each day. In more than one year of love and friendship, we've only been together for 2 weeks.

With regards to my recent post before this, I have shared some favors and revelations from GOD. GOD's preparations for me.

I have read a Christian magazine about being financially ready before a wedding. That was a revelation to me.

Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it?

I know GOD is instilling patience in me. Learning how to wait for HIS Perfect Timing can be a real challenge but its reward is worth waiting for.

I was wondering and desiring for someone to help me out with the planning and coordinating of my wedding. A friend who could really devote some time. A friend who is really interested to help and has the resources to do so. A friend who would volunteer, not someone I've delegated. A volunteer is never forced to do something. I'm still praying for more revelations to my questions. Silently asked so I would know when the answer comes, I'd be sure it's from GOD.

Earlier, I was exchanging text messages with my female bestfriend, Magdalane. She has been my bestfriend for more than 10 years now. Before, I don't want to expose my plan of getting married but since I need to act on my faith, I need to lay some information in the open. I'm still waiting for very important revelations from GOD. But I shared with her that I will get married soon. I am patiently waiting for GOD's Perfect Will, Perfect Timing and Perfect Revelations. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Magdalane volunteered to be my wedding coordinator. She would plan everything and coordinate with people who will take care of my wedding. Everything. All she needs from me is the financial budget, of course. hehehe! I don't need to pay her services because she wanted it to be her wedding gift for me and she wants to give me a surprise on my wedding. So neat! I trust her because I know very well her tastes with things. A wedding coordinator here costs about $900-$1200 just for labor/services. Well, that's what I've been informed. GOD IS SO GREAT!!!

Patience has its own great rewards. Unbelievable but indescribably amazing rewards.

GOD will provide. GOD has been dealing with me about patience with regards to finances and the wedding. Surely, I am learning a lot.

I'd like to be financially stable and ready before my wedding. I know GOD will make a way.

I am going to continue planning and acting on my faith but I will listen and wait for GOD's revelations and responses. Then I will obey.

GOD is preparing me. GOD is preparing my way.

I thank GOD for everything!!! Praise HIS Name for HIS Greatness!!!

I have heard my sister say, "Their faith is amazing" when my mom was telling her about how Elisha's parents once brought her to the University of Philippines (one of the most prestigious schools in the Philippines) and declared to her that that will be her future school and truly, she passed the entrance exams.

That simple phrase spoke to my heart.

Last week, we went to the Christian bookstore and I went to the Bibles' section right away. I don't know why. I wasn't really gonna check out and buy a Bible at that moment. I quickly spotted a Wedding Bible. A new product. I have been desiring for the most perfect Wedding Bible.

I have been thinking about Wedding invitations lately. My faith is taking me to a level where I am desiring to make a Bridal Shower invitation. hehehe! I have no ring yet! hahaha! Last Friday, I received an email from DaySpring about "20% Off Wedding Invitations & Save the Dates" and you can customize and design your own. Awesome! There was also a "20% Off Marriage Bible" from FamilyLife. FamilyLife is led by one of my most favorite couples, Dennis and Barbara Rainey. So neat! A Wedding Bible, Wedding invitations, Save the Dates and a Marriage Bible. Now, I am certainly putting out my faith in the open.

Cody and I have a code that we started a year ago. Since we communicate through Yahoo Messenger, we use 3 kissing smileys to say "you are mine" but now he also uses "i am yours" which is something that makes my heart soar. He is mine.

Then this week as I was reading the mini book "Glimpses of an Invisible GOD", I read a verse...

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:

“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.

So sweet! A man who loves me deeply and a GOD who loves me endlessly from the very beginning. A GOD who knows me by name. Now, I won't say this is a coincidence or an accident. GOD already has a plan for my life. HE has my life schedule all figured out already - long before I was born. I trust HIM my life.

Cody is such a sweetie. Not everyone may know that. For all singles out there, before you marry a man, you should check first how your man treats his mom and sisters. If he doesn't have sisters, you can consider his female cousins and aunts - female relatives. Because how he treats these females in his life is how he would treat you as a woman, as well. Cody is such a sweetie to his mom. He respects his mom a lot to the point that he never tolerates tardiness for himself when he was still working for his parents. Mother's Day is May 10 and he is already shopping for his mom. I forgot the date for Mother's Day. hahaha! Cody reminded me. Now, my youngest sister and I are planning though. I should be cooking then.

Cooking is my passion. I love cooking excellent foods. As how Cody describes my cooking. Excellent. hehehe! In order to impress me (he informed me verbally), he started to take interest in cooking. He also cooks different kinds of dishes. He checks out recipes online and tries to cook them. He uses cooking terms. Now, he cooks more than I do. hahaha! I didn't even ask him to show interest. He didn't just show but he puts it into action. Now, I'm impressed!

I've been desiring for a Wedding. Only with Cody. It's a burning desire within me. Cody is the one. My beautiful blessing from GOD.

GOD knows what's in my heart and I was surprised with HIS answer...

I have heard this song for many times now but it was sent to me last week by one of my youths. She knows I enjoy little children. And that she is also excited for little Cody's and little Honesty's running around.

I've made this song as Cody's special message tone when he sends me messages in my phone. Especially for him and his messages alone. hehehe! I'll certainly invite this adorable little girl to sing on our wedding but she's 18 now. hehehe!

Yesterday, I watched the gossip news for fun with my youngest sister. As I made it clear that I do not like watching tv a lot especially gossip. Just when I've liked a certain tv show but it's very rare. But most of the time, when I watch worldly shows, I tend to be more accountable to my words and actions and whatever I see or hear on tv that is not good for my soul is being ignored and I learn the right way. I know it takes courage to stand on solid ground. On CHRIST our Rock.

A celebrity was being interviewed about his break-up with his ex-girlfriend. He said that his ex cheated on him with their gym instructor who was the confidante of the girl while they were still together. They broke up and now the girl was said to be together with the gym instructor and they'll get married soon. That's the news. I'm just sharing. hehehe!

Although, my topic is not about this. hehehe!

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

If you know who your GOD is, you must also know who your enemy is and how he works.

If you think that being close friends with a guy while you have a boyfriend/husband is safe and means nothing, think again. Think again if you don't want to be jumping from one guy to the other. This also goes out to guys. This is not a one-sided post. No one is exempted.

For singles especially Christians, GOD must be your Confidante. No one else. Before trying to find your soulmate, you must find yourself first. Know your identity. After that, love yourself completely. LOVE GOD above all.

Before I found Cody, I sought GOD and still am. I focused on HIM. After loving HIM more than my life, I have learned to love myself. Loving yourself is choosing GOD's Perfect Choice for you. GOD gave me Cody. I have a supportive family and wonderful Christian friends who rebuke me everytime. Cody told me back then that I should not have any guy confidante. That is something I promised him and myself because I've seen how the enemy attacked this kind of weakness in my past and to others, as well. I have so much respect and love for Cody. I do not share our complications with anyone else. Do you know who my Ultimate Confidante is? I think you do. hehehe! YES IT IS GOD! HE is in fact, my FATHER! So why run to other men, right? I have guy friends but I am quite distant emotionally and physically because I know that there should be limitations and I love my boyfriend. I also must be honest, not to sound bragging but I've had friends and ex's who loved me (some still do) and if I do not stay distant from them, they would pursue me so I assure them that I love my Cody and just stay away. Eversince Cody started being my friend, he focused on me alone. He didn't entertain other girls anymore. Cody never stared at other girls in a lustful way behind my back or even in front of me. I know because I trust him and I trust our GOD. Cody's GOD and my GOD are ONE. We are united by a beautiful GOD and we live in HIS beautiful love.

You might ask me why do I love Cody this much...Simply because I don't see any reason not to love him. Everyone is imperfect but GOD's grace is sufficient so let HIM intervene in your relationships and character.

GOD is my every perfect thing and every time I run to HIM for anything, HE always answers my questions and gives me courage, joy and peace. HE is my Answer to every question and my Solution to every problem. Whether you have a boyfriend or not, the Only One who you can confide in is our dear FATHER. HE alone can give everything you need. As my devotional today says, "When GOD is all you have, you have all you need." ~Our Daily Bread

So true. I can never disagree to this fact.

Trust is also about showing that you can be trusted. No vengeance. No immaturity.

I've realized last week. Yeah I just posted it now. hahaha! Well, my sister and I were talking about game shows when I realized something. There was a certain game show that had been aired during 6pm called "Deal or No Deal" but it ended already. They've changed it to "Pinoy Bingo Night." I suddenly realized that before, it was always "Deal or No Deal" when it comes to men. There was always an option to get out of the relationship because there was no assurance of true love. But now, it truly is "BINGO!" I have the most perfect man I love and need. No other option but to love him more each day. I truly won by having him in my life. If I have to state everything beautiful about him, there won't be enough words and characters. hehehe!

If I have given awards to all of my Blogger friends, I know my top earthly award goes to my dear Cody. You deserve it, honey. More than anyone else. For me, that is. hehehe!

With all this, I am humbled and THANK GOD alone! HE deserves all the glory! IT IS ALL GOD!

This should be a post last Monday. hehehe! I was too busy then or maybe too tired.

Anyway...

Last Monday, Cody was asking me what to eat with his rice since I've been telling him that rice should be eaten with a certain dish to make it quite tasty. Rice is the staple food in the Philippines. Cody enjoyed eating while he was here. He ate rice. hehehe! So he was asking me what should he eat with his rice. He asked which is cheap. After compromising, we settled with hotdogs or what he calls sausage. hehehe!

After we chatted in Yahoo, I received an email from AllRecipes. I have a recipe subscription with them. Here is what I received...

GOD is not against sex. Sex is a gift. Lust isn't.

They say that it's difficult to leave someone who has gotten your virginity before marriage because of the strings attached to that person. I'd say it's even more difficult to leave someone who loves and respects you enough to not ask you to commit premarital sex with him. By GOD's grace, GOD will purify your hearts, minds, souls and spirits when you surrender your life to HIM. Your past will just be a wonderful reminder of what you should have in the present and in the future. A beautiful promise of GOD's love.

How do I know this? I am so in love with a man who NEVER asked me to have premarital sex with him. For the first time in my life, I have committed myself to someone who really deserves it. And truly, GOD is blessing this relationship. Next to GOD, I think of Cody all the time.

No infatuation.

They say infatuation is when you can't eat or sleep when you feel something for someone. I have never skipped a meal because of my love for Cody. He has actually inspired me to eat more and healthier. Because of him, I've desired to take care of my body and spirit more. I believe that he is one of GOD's instruments in my life.

I thank GOD for guarding our hearts and minds to not fall into the temptation of lust. I thank GOD because Cody knows that sex is sacred and that it should happen after the wedding ceremony. Sex after marriage is a blessing. It is a beautiful gift.

Today was a blast. Very busy day.

I shared at our cell meeting earlier about things singles should ask themselves before getting married. Yes I wanted to share that to my youths because I won't be with them when some of them would go to college very soon.

All my examples and testimonies were about Cody and I. I thank GOD that our relationship continues to glorify HIM alone!

After more than a year of friendship and 11 months of love and commitment, we're still going stronger and becoming more in love with each other and with GOD.

To my honey darling sweetness Cody, I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! HAPPY 11TH MONTHSARY! We're gonna be a year soon. I can hardly wait to marry you. I grow more in love with you every second of everyday. Everyday is our celebration of love. A celebration of us and GOD in our lives.

Cody has been trying to find a job in replace of his current job because of confidential reasons.

Yesterday, he told me this...

"yep. that's what i try to be optimistic about. maybe i don't have the stable job right now, but then most people aren't happy with a significant other. however, i can choose jobs along the way (however difficult that may be at times), but there's only one girl out there for me - you. and you'll always be more important than a job."

Then I said...

"Can i just melt now?"

Yes I said that. hehehe!

Cody has been sharing with me about the plane crashes that have been recently happening in the US. Then I realized how much GOD holds Cody in HIS arms to protect him and so he had a safe flight from there to here and vice-versa. GOD IS TRULY GOOD!

Funny earlier while I was in the jeepney, I was thinking how I dreamed of having a handsome husband in the future when I was younger. GOD gave me Cody. Then I pictured how he looked so handsome the first time he wore his sunglasses with me while he was here. Funny how I thought to myself how gorgeous he was overall (acting like he isn't mine hehehe). When we went to the cashier at the resort in Subic, he had his shades on and the receptionist was staring at him. We were both there standing but the lady never looked at me. When Cody removed his shades, yes the more she stared. hahaha! Cody has beautiful eyes. Expressive and very loving with gentleness. So that got me staring at him, too. hahaha! Cody is a beautiful person inside and out. Thinking about it gives me amazing shivers all over my body. Can i just melt now? hehehe!

My dreams came true. Actually, he is more than what I've dreamed of.

He is my beautiful blessing from GOD.

i remember the first time

Let's travel back in time.

Can you remember the first night or day you met your partner? Remember the first smile you gave? Remember the first time you looked into your darling's eyes?

I can.

I was excited and nervous at the same time. Too excited but in a rush. Caught in traffic.

Mind you, I do not have the best memory in the world but I can remember the ones that make me smile and say, "This is life...so beautiful!"

I had to travel for 4 hours just to reach the airport. When I reached Manila, I still had to shower at my sister's apartment. After that, I still had to travel another hour to the airport. I was in the bus when...BANG! The bus halted suddenly. My hand that was holding onto the rail bumped onto one of my eyes and my contact lens fell off from my eye. Yes it did. Well, I tried to get it back on. It was so difficult as it had dried up easily coz of the wind. And it's uncomfortable already and would not stick in my eye so I put it in my hanky and kept it in my pocket. When I unloaded the bus, I went to a restroom at the airport. I tried to wash it with water so it will get wet. It didn't cooperate with me. Silly lens. hehehe! I do not have the perfect vision. I could not see clearly anymore but good thing I still had one lens in my eye that made me able to see when "my prince charming" arrived. The waiting area is a few meters away from the fetching area.

Yes I was so nervous but excited! I could not stop moving and I had friends sending me text messages and my hands were shaking as I texted. I was on the lookout. I was standing on the rails the whole time when I could be sitting and relaxing. It was uncomfortable for me to sit. I was that excited! hehehe! I had my eye (with the lens) on the foreigners coming. I was thinking that maybe he looks a bit different from the webcam. I kept staring at foreigners. And kept saying no. He was late as scheduled. That's because he was transferred to a different state before flying here. He told me that he was gonna wear a white shirt. Others wore white shirt, too. So I had to focus on the one lens. Yep! Pretty difficult! hehehe!

After a few hours of waiting at the airport, a man in a white shirt was coming down from inside the airport and was talking to a Filipino guy with him. I spotted him. No doubts. I knew it was him. And I walked fast to where he was as I was saying to myself, "Yes that's him, I'm sure! He's so handsome!" He didn't know where I was because there were so many people at that time. The Filipino guy who helped him saw me approaching and said, "There she is!" Cody looked at me and hugged me. Oh his arms were so strong! And his eyes...were so beautiful!

And he is all mine.

So many people say that I have such a weak memory but you know what? I remember the first time I met my soulmate.

A picture of love and happiness

Of all the complications Cody and I had, I thank DAD (got this from Elisha) that HE always gets us by and protect our relationship from the works of the enemy.

I have seen how marriages got broken and read testimonies how GOD fixed them and truly, I've told myself that in order for me to never get to that point of brokenness, I should be open enough to fix complications. I should always desire communication. As what Dennis and Barbara Rainey would term it, Cody is the prizefighter and I am the peacemaker. Although, we should be more loving and considerate to our partners that we must be able to change for the better because loving others like ourselves is one of the most rewarding gifts in this world.

It is just so amazing that I am able to chat with Cody's mom because it assures me that I am the only one. Well, I already know just by Cody alone.

There are certain changes in my life but then I'm very grateful that my Cody is very understanding. I'm just overwhelmed that he's still with me. hehehe! Oh jeez...I'm so excited to celebrate our first anniversary soon...oh wow! I'm really really really so ecstatic! Wishing I could celebrate it with him but then it's ok. I'd rather have the wedding this year than just the visit. hahaha! We'll be 11 months on the 25th.

I've been busier than ever that I fail to talk to him in Skype for weeks now but then I know GOD will make a way. When I called him on the phone the other day, I just found my heart racing and blushing and telling myself while talking to him, "Oh I'm so in love with you!"

Cody is my one-and-only.

After the Misunderstanding

After the misunderstanding, I have been thinking a lot. I usually pray silently. And I still do...A LOT! I love the silent prayers in my head. Why? Because I know that when an answer comes, it is straight from GOD.

Here is the answer after a few minutes of the misunderstanding. I'm amazed that it took just about 5 minutes for GOD to answer. Just amazing.

"Love is stronger than pride so when you love someone, tell them and never let go; love is a gift not an opportunity, follow your heart and always trust the person you love. Good day." ~from one of my respected older friends, Mrs. Sol Castillo (DepEd Division)

Love is truly a gift not an opportunity that just comes and then you let go after some time of getting tired. It is a gift that needs to be treasured forever. Love means being faithful and committed to just one person. Follow your heart means for me that GOD is my heart so I will follow my heart all of my days. GOD owns my heart. I can translate it however I desire and will end up loving more. This is such a wonderful quote. A revelation.

This is like...so rare! I received an email from Denise Austin (a physical fitness instructor) and here's what it says (not full article)...

GOD Knows What's BEST

Truly, GOD knows what's BEST especially when it comes to HIS children.

My heart is in GOD's Hands

I'm so amazed! Just so amazed.

FIRST, it dawned on me the other day. Oh yes the other day since I've been so busy that I couldn't post so much. hehehe! Well, it dawned on me how GOD led me to my Cody.

Before meeting Cody, I have met a lot of men along the way after GOD won me back. I deliberately screened them. Like an interview. hahaha! I'm quite picky - in GOD's Standards. One of them was a Jew who has a different belief, of course. But then he was also angry at Americans coz he was in the Navy before and the jealous type. Anyway, good thing GOD withheld me from that. Then was a man who is a Christian but he was too strict about women wearing high heels. He wants a woman who loves wearing high heels. hahaha! Well, I must say that I LOVE sneakers! One of my loves. hehehe! Then a pastor who is impatient so he just pursued other women instead. Then a pastor's son who just ignored me after some time of getting to know each other and the next thing I knew, he's already dating someone. There was also a Catholic guy who isn't devoted to GOD. Let's also put in the Filipino friend who wants to pursue me. So it's a mixture of almost everything. Okay, I'm not bragging about these men. All I am trying to say is that GOD will absolutely (with no doubts) give you the BEST MAN meant for you if you only wait for HIS Perfect Will. GOD led me to my BEST man. For me, he is certainly the best! I grow more in love with him everyday. But you won't believe me if I said that I've kind of ignored him when we were still friends. Yes I did! Good thing, GOD alarmed me that my BEST man is patiently dealing with me and waiting for me. GOD impressed upon me that Cody is the one. (Matrix? hahaha! jk) Cody honey, don't get upset at me by stating these men. I'm trying to point out something here. hahaha! FIRST, I am confident enough to say, that Cody is the most goodlooking man I've met - inside and outside. Of course, I know you would disagree. hahaha! Your man should be the most goodlooking man in your life. Cody is a whole package. It's like I went to the grocery store and voila...a perfect guy waiting for me to buy him! hahaha! just kidding! I'm just being corny and funny. Honestly and seriously, he is all that I've ever dreamed of from when I was little until now. Well, I'm not dreaming anymore. He is all mine! And I am faithfully and exclusively all his - mentally, emotionally and physically! We're a team after GOD's own heart! ALL BECAUSE GOD MADE IT HAPPEN!!!

One of my dreams is to have my very first flight with my Cody. Yes I'm zero experience when it comes to flying. Of course, I don't have wings. hehehe! just kidding! With my trip to Naga last February, we were supposed to ride the plane but then it was peak season at that time so it didn't happen. I rejoiced even if I had to endure the long bus ride. hehehe! Amazingly, I've read in the newspaper the other day that the fare to Naga went from 2000 down to 500. Ain't that neat?! GOD is really on our relationship's side! HE wants me to have my first flight with Cody. I'm so amazed! I do believe GOD will make a way for our plans. According to HIS Perfect Will. Just gotta be patient.

GOD has been changing my character lately. Way back then, I refused when Cody asked me about him being a firefighter because it's a dangerous job. I wanted him to be safe. GOD dealt with me right there. HE made me see that with HIM, nothing is impossible and HIS Perfect Will will always prevail whatever we do. So now, I am surrendering it to HIM. So if you've read my other blog, I have stated in there that I have received a revelation about Cody and fire. hehehe! GOD gave me a revelation which is the wildfire. Second one that I just got earlier is a job interview in a fire extinguisher company. Amazing, huh? Well, I have ignored about that before when he told me that he submitted an application letter to that company. When the noble task dawned on me the other morning, I was clearly getting more revelations. All we need to do is wait and pray some more and ears widely open for GOD's Voice. We desire more revelations, thinking and discerning. ALL FROM GOD!

My dear Cody, no pressure...okay? Smile! hehehe!

What is he capable of?

My mom asked yesterday how Cody is doing. If he's still working at the gym. I said yes but he's looking for another job. Funny how my mom seriously said that he can just move here and we'll put up a business together - Cody and I.

I told Cody about this. I know how he wouldn't like to move here. Maybe because of the climate. hahaha! Cody told his mom. I asked how his mom reacted. He said she just nodded. I told him jokingly that she might be unhappy with that. I, then, told him that I know he wouldn't want to move here, anyway. His answer surprised me, "You don't know what I'm capable of doing for my honey."

It just took my breath away. hehehe! Seriously.

I should've said, "Am I your honey?" hahaha! just kidding, my Cody! hahaha!

I know it is a huge decision if he ever decide to move here. But then, wherever we are, that's fine with me. According to GOD's Perfect Will.

Oh oh oh...and something that he was capable of doing. I haven't posted about this yet that just totally dawned on me earlier. He is capable of giving a framed photoshopped pictures of us to his mom as a Christmas gift. She was so thrilled. I never knew that that could be a beautiful gift to a mother that she would really like and appreciate. She even asked for it and she loved the outcome. I am just so moved by his affectionate love for me. I could never ask for anything more but a legal marriage. hehehe! We've already planned for our future. I'm very excited for that! It all depends on GOD's Perfect Will now.

10th Monthsary

Love cannot be love without trials.

10 speaks of Testimony; Law and responsibility.

Oh wow! I'm amazed because it is so true.

I only desire for my relationship with Cody to be a testimony of GOD's unfailing love, amazing grace and divine faithfulness. Law because Cody and I have been desiring to have hearts burning for GOD alone and HIS Commands and Will. Responsibility because in everything we do, we are held accountable for our actions and that we must be responsible enough as an individual to be able to show the excellence of GOD. Every Christian must be a reflection of GOD.

As I always say, Cody and I aren't exempted when it comes to trials. As a couple, we encounter complications. With the year of friendship, Cody and I have grown spiritually (THANK GOD). I have learned from him and he has learned from me.

Today, Cody and I are celebrating our 10 months of being a couple of GOD. I must say that Cody and I have strong convictions spiritually as individuals. That is mainly why the first argument we had is about the spiritual aspect of a person. Cody has been very patient with me. As we all know, women are the emotional beings. No one can deny that. Women must admit in order for GOD to work on it. Confess and you shall be healed.

Cody and I had a silly complication today. On our 10th monthsary. hehehe! But I couldn't just leave him hanging so we talked about it. It's amazing how GOD worked in us as an individual and be able to work in us as a couple. I have learned to be more open and admit everything to him. All of the emotional struggles I've had and been having and his patience has been so consistently immense. Today, I've had a new level of emotional and spiritual breakthrough. I'm glad that I've been able to humbly confess my shortcomings and admit my hidden emotional struggles that I've exposed to him. Now, we are getting stronger as a couple and letting GOD do the work in us as we strive to be a couple after GOD's own heart.

I am very much blessed that GOD always gives me the discernment to listen to that still, small voice from HIM. GOD wants this relationship and so do I. Honestly, I am not immune to other men's proposals but then GOD has been so good for giving me the heart of commitment and love. GOD has already scheduled my wedding and marriage with Cody. I am so excited! I am committed to Cody and I do not see myself with another man but him alone. I thank GOD that HE gives me the patience to work out on things in our relationship. I am just so ecstatic to know that for Cody, I am the most influential person in his life (all aspects). Your sense of fulfillment as a Christian comes when you know that you are winning, consolidating and better yet, discipling souls for GOD. Cody is my disciple and I am his disciple. Both of us are JESUS' disciples.

Everyday, I am more in love with Cody. My love for him just grows more each day. I am so overwhelmed with joy. Cody is such a rare gift. I'd tour the world and I will never see anyone like him. Of course, he is unique. Cody is so different in a good way. ALL FOR GOD'S GREATER GLORY ALONE!

But that doesn't stop there, I desire for each one of you to be in JOY with your relationships. My prayers are with you, my friends.

Proverbs 5:1,2 My son, give attention to my wisdom, incline your ear to my understanding; that you may observe discretion.

This is emotional adultery-an intimacy with the opposite sex outside the marriage. Emotional adultery is unfaithfulness of the heart. When two people begin talking of intimate struggles, doubts or feelings, they may be sharing their souls in a way that God intended exclusively for the marriage relationship.
Emotional adultery is friendship with the opposite sex that has progressed too far. Often it begins as a casual relationship at work, school or even church. A husband talks with a female co-worker over coffee and shares some struggles he's facing with his wife or kids. She tells of similar problems, and soon the emotions ricochet so rapidly that their hearts ignite and can ultimately become fused together as one. To those who have experienced it, this catalytic "bonding" seems too real to deny.

We're almost a year!!! I'm so excited!!! Cody is my first and last love - opposite sex (except my family and relatives hehehe). GOD IS SO GOOD! I have been in complete suffering in my past. I am telling you, I've received all kinds of abuse. But GOD does not want me to look at my past coz it has long been gone. I am in total celebration of my present and my future!

My Beautiful GOD and my beautiful blessing from GOD

I am just in awe. Cody and I have known each other for a year now and we'll be celebrating our 10 months as a couple and he is still sweet to me. He still makes me blush every time he tells me sweet remarks. Everyday is a sweet day for us. He believes that distance shouldn't hinder him from being affectionate to me.

When I woke up from my sleep from the 18-hour trip, he sent me messages, as usual.

One of his sweet messages...

"right now, at precisely 3:04 pm, i'm thinking of you and missing you. but then 3:04 pm isn't any different than 4:03 pr 10:34 for that matter. i'm always thinking of you and missing you, my love :) "

Today, he was very sweet again. We talked about a lot of things. In a year, we haven't ran out of things to talk about still. hehehe! Whenever my friends or family asks/talks about him, I blush. Yes I still blush for my Cody. I made a remark earlier because it is very hot here today so I said, "I'm hot" then he suddenly replied, "You're beautiful." I asked him where he got that line because I've read that quote somewhere. It is a famous quote. But since Cody is not into the famous side of the world, he told me that he didn't know that quote. So I was impressed that he would think I'm beautiful instead of hot. And he said that he doesn't even use the word "hot" to describe me. It is almost our 10th monthsary! We're counting again. hehehe!

Hearts' Day

So we celebrate Hearts' Day. Well, I'd rather call it Hearts' Day to be different and also Valentine's Day came from a priest's name and Cupid is used as a symbol which is a pagan god so it's a pagan holiday and so much more stories to it.

It's not even a holiday for me. hehehe! But oh well. Let's celebrate it.

Cody gave me an ecard. hehehe! That's all we can do for now. But then, what's written in it is what's more special to me. Incomparably beautiful.

They (things) AREN'T the same! Life is so much better with you!

But at least we're blessed in having the opportunity to talk for free! Your voice gives me a special feeling. And with so much communication through text messages, it's such a comfort and pleasure to hear it whenever we get the opportunity. It's the sound of life-long companionship; the sound of LOVE; the sound of a beautiful blessing sent by our beautiful God.

This is our first Valentines Day as a couple! But I don't need a designated day to express my love for you. You have that from me every day 'til eternity'

A Marriage After GOD's Own Heart

I must say...this is a beautiful book!

Very profound insights. Rich with insights.

I LOVE it!

It just gave me a new mindset about marriage. Well, I already know that marriage is not easy as what my aunt and my mom said. Instead of discouraging me, this book has encouraged me a lot to get married. Oh yeah! Oh yeah! I'm so excited for marriage! hehehe! Still waiting.

As I was reading the book, oh how I feel so deeply blessed that my Cody is completely different from those men used in some of the examples. Cody is an emotional guy. Yes he is. He always considers everything about me. He desires for us to grow in all aspects and never stop the communication. I already feel that our marriage will be truly blessed but also I know we still have a long way to go and it is never going to be easy. Every marriage/relationship has its own flaw. This book has enriched my knowledge about real marriage and how to draw closer to GOD not only as an individual but mostly as a couple. It is worth every time and money you will spend for it. Truly outstanding. Funny coz it took me an hour to buy this book. I was really having a hard time choosing which one to buy that I toured the whole bookstore staring at each book. I then came down to two books then locked me there staring at the two books for almost 30 minutes. This book was more expensive compared to the other option. I have read other marriage books already but this is just so beautiful. It does not only state the problems that may occur in your marriage but also the Key to a successful marriage: GOD.

I am just in awe of this book. GOD truly anointed the author and I am so glad that Mr. Clarke was so willing to be used by GOD. He uses Scriptures. He also shares insights from those Scriptures. As I read this book, sometimes I find myself agreeing, smiling, awww-ing, ahhh-ing and laughing. Funny, I've thought of ideas about prayer that I've shared with Cody then I've suddenly read it the other day in this book. I'm almost halfway. I'm so excited to finish it. I don't even want to finish it because I am so attached with each page. But then, I would want to read it again - with Cody. As what Cody promised me. hehehe!

I am so astounded that I have a partner who is after GOD's own Heart and together we'll build a marriage after GOD's own Heart! A prince, a princess and a KING!

Howe Ancestry

I am so overwhelmed that my dear Cody tried to trace his ancestry and I am truly blessed to know that his line of ancestry is dependent upon GOD.

From generation to generation, we shall pass the legacy of FAITH.

He shared with me how he found out that the Howe motto is:

Utcunque Placuerit Deo (latin) which translates to "Howsoever it may please GOD" or "As it may please GOD"

Also, the maiden name of his Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great grandfather's wife is Patience Day. Of course, it became Mrs. Patience Day Howe.

He did his homework very well. He found out that Edward Howe (VERY GREAT grandfather from the 1500's) was known to be a godly and respectable man. He also found out that most of the men and women in their lineage have names from the Bible. He also found out that he has 5 ministers in their ancestry. Isn't that neat? hehehe! I was in awe. I don't think mine has the same ancestry although I am grateful that I can love, trust and respect a man of GOD (runs in the blood) named Cody Howe.

I believe these are beautiful revelations for us as a couple. GOD is trying to tell Cody, "Patience Day Howe." Well, that's how I would discern it to be. And for the motto, I believe it is telling both of us as a couple to always please GOD. I am so humbled by these revelations from GOD.

It is always good to know the line of ancestry of someone dear to you. Especially someone you will soon marry. If you are very much educated with "generational curse", you must know the ways on how these curses be turned to blessings (Read the Old Testament). It is important to consider the past generations of your future spouse if you are looking for one or have found one. The spiritual realm is a continuous battle. Never be complacent. Some people say, "What's important is what the person is now." I say, if you don't want to trace it, then you are afraid to stop it. A curse will always be a curse unless you turn it into a blessing. Based from personal experience. I would like to encourage you to engage in an "Inner Healing and Deliverance" conference in your place if you ever heard of one.

Anyway, I will not linger on. I will let GOD speak to you. Do not grieve the HOLY SPIRIT. Stop being stubborn. Thank you.

Mere Coincidence or Abrupt Accident?

Neither.

I am deeply convinced that Cody and I are a match made by GOD's beautiful Hands.

Cody and I have a long-distance relationship. Out of all the billion people in this world, GOD made us meet in a certain website. 8,000 miles away. Not coincidence. I believe it is GOD's Perfect Timing.

I was pondering about my life situation. I began to think of the past. How I tried so hard to find a job online and in other places. Still, nothing.

I began to see my job as a pure blessing. My mom as my boss. Amazingly, Cody had the same situation before. Now, he counsels me about it. Truly, GOD lets you encounter trials in order to grow and to be able to share it with others and help them grow, too. Something I've learned with the youths. GOD makes me undergo some trials then after overcoming them, the youths encounter them, too. Accident? I don't think so.

I am very blessed to have my job. I was able to get a two-week leave when Cody was here. Something that not everyone can do. I can use my cellphone as much as I want to (without worrying about integrity) so that enables me to chat with Cody. Cody and I can only communicate during my work times.

I was wondering why I always come back here. I go to other places to get a job but then I always come back here. GOD truly knows what HE's doing. Also, I can work and at the same time, do ministry with the kids and the youths at school.

Whatever work we have, we must learn to love it whether it is our passion or not. GOD places people in the right places. To bless them and to let them grow in character.

Now, our relationship will move on and go to another level. I am super blessed that I can have a flexible schedule. GOD knows what HE was doing when HE gave my mom as my boss.

Mere coincidence? No. Abrupt Accident? Never.

9 speaks of Fruit of the Spirit and Divine completeness from the FATHER

I am just amazed on how GOD made me meet my lover, partner, bestfriend, beloved and helper...my dear honey Cody! All the revelations HE gave me. The peace HE has bestowed upon me when my heart recognized Cody.

Cody and I have been friends for more than a year now. Today we celebrate our ninth month as a couple. It is so exciting! I've seen how GOD moved in our relationship. How both of us grew spiritually and emotionally. Cody is one of GOD's instruments in my life. The biggest impact, actually. Now I celebrate the love HE has given us.

Along the way, GOD has scraped every negative attitude. GOD made us learn a lot of things. GOD gave us tests as an individual and as a couple. I am very humbled to inform you that truly 9 speaks of Fruit of the Spirit and Divine completeness from the FATHER. I desire more of GOD in our lives.

Whenever I look at Cody's pictures or hear his voice, I still find it unbelievable that he is mine. I still blush and get nervous whenever I say "I love you" and that is something I have never felt before. It never felt like a routine. It is always fresh. I will never want another guy. Cody is just so perfect for me. No one is perfect but GOD surely knows what HE was doing when HE created Cody. All the revelations to identify if Cody is really the one and until now, we still need revelations for all the decisions we're making and GOD is so faithful. GOD wants us to trust HIM so very soon, our dreams as a couple will happen right in front of our eyes unexpectedly but greatly appreciated. I thank GOD for Cody. I thank GOD for HIS faithfulness in my life. I thank GOD for HIMSELF.

Speak Your Spouse's Language

Oh LORD, prepare the way!

Here is a beautiful email devotional by Whitney Hopler from Crosswalk that I've received the other day (not full article)...

Your husband seems to say one thing yet do another. Your wife seems to expect you to read her mind. You and your spouse are frustrated that what you heard each other say wasn't what was meant. Sometimes it can be like your spouse is speaking a different language from yours -- one you don't understand.

But you can learn to speak your spouse's language when you work on communication skills in your marriage. Here's how:

Make your marriage a covenant, not just a contract. God intended marriage to be much more than the contractual relationship it typically is in our society. Viewed as a contract, marriage is simply about what and your spouse agree to do for each other (and if either of you fail, the relationship can be canceled). But God designed marriage to be a covenant, a permanent relationship that's built on unconditional love. The first step in effectively communicating with your spouse is for both of you to view your marriage as a covenant. Be willing to love your spouse with a steadfast love. Decide to focus on what you can do for your spouse, instead of on what you want your spouse to do for you.

Realize that communication leads to intimacy. The better you and your spouse communicate, the closer your relationship will become. Aim to build intimacy by focusing on your communication skills. Think of how loved you each will feel in a truly intimate marriage, and let that thought motivate you to improve the way you communicate.

Plan a daily sharing time with your spouse. Schedule a time each day or night to give each other a few minutes of undivided attention. Take turns asking each other to share three experiences that happened in your lives today and how you feel about them.

Change unhealthy communication patterns. Instead of trying to achieve peace at any price, recognize that conflict is necessary to deal with issues and find solutions to problems. Rather than blaming your spouse for everything, ask God to show you how you've contributed to problems. Then take responsibility for your own failures, confess them to God, and ask for His help to change. Instead of expressing only your reasonable thoughts and hiding your feelings, realize that you must share your emotions as well as your logic if you're going to build true intimacy with your spouse. Rather than ignoring your spouse's offensive actions or comments, hoping that they'll go away, realize that the problems between you will never go away on their own. The only way to get them to go away is to work together to solve them.

Raise the level of your communication. Get to know the five different levels of communication. Then aim to go to the highest level -- level five -- with your spouse. Level one is hallway talk like "Fine, how are you?". Level two is reporter talk like "Just give me the facts." Level three is intellectual talk like "Do you know what I think?". Level four is emotional talk like "Do you know how I feel?". Level five is the most intimate -- loving, genuine truth talk like "Let's be honest." On this level, you can speak the truth in love to each other. You can be honest but not condemning, and open but not demanding. You can give each other the freedom to think and feel differently about issues, situations, and people. You work to understand each other's thoughts and feelings, looking for ways to grow together in spite of your differences.

I am so thankful because I have my Cody who ponders on the most beautiful things for our relationship. I thank GOD for the wisdom, heart and faith that HE has given Cody. I thank GOD for Cody who only desires what's best for us and our future marriage. I thank GOD for a Godly man HE has gifted me with because in HIM, everything is beautiful in HIS Perfect Timing. I thank GOD for a beautiful man who lives for GOD's glory alone! A very humble man who desires to stay behind the curtains so that only GOD may be glorified in his life.

Plan and Hope

I love giving you updates and lessons I've been learning! hehehe!

Let's tackle PLAN first. I know GOD will provide everything for us although it is but wise to plan ahead according to HIS Will. GOD loves people who knows how to plan because it shows willingness and being a responsible human being.

Luke 14:28-30
"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'

While I was still attending my culinary classes, I was always sleeping at my aunt's house. I saw a magazine sitting there in the living room and it was about weddings. It stated these verses in there. Never did it leave my mind then. I've always applied it in all aspects of my life. While Cody and I was talking earlier, he told me his plans for us. He told me about the plan he has for our house in the near future. He proposed it to his parents. Basically, he shares his plans with his parents and ask their advices. I am even humbled when his mom messaged me earlier and how she's welcoming me into their family. Also, Cody told me that his mom assured how serious Cody is with me. I am very humbled with how his mom protects me as a woman. Yes, we're already in the practical planning stage. Every girl dreams of her wedding, of course. But we're still praying for something and after that we're on to the wedding plans (I guess hahaha). It is not about the wedding anyway but the marriage. Our target is before this year ends. Before my birthday. hehehe!

BUT before anything else, we know that all our plans will not succeed if it is not according to GOD's Will so we can plan as much but everything will be made possible by GOD. One of the most outstanding answered prayer with a yes is when Cody visited here last year. That was when I chose to pray for it every hour of everyday before he bought his plane ticket.

GOD has promised this so I am standing by this. All I wanted is to glorify GOD through our relationship.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

We can plan all we want but all I know is that GOD's Perfect Will should be done in us. Sometimes I do not petition anything in my prayers because GOD knows my heart's desires so I just simply say, "Let Your Will be done, FATHER." And by that, my heart trusts in the LORD. If HE will not do what I desire, HE will give me something better than that. That is what HE has instilled in my heart.

Now, let's go to HOPE. I've read an article about expecting. When we expect something from people, we tend to get disappointed so my expectations is all for GOD. More than expecting though, I hope. I believe that hope is heavier than expectation. GOD gave me a revelation earlier at service. We have a guest speaker earlier named Reverend Paul Wrenn. GOD truly used him to speak to my heart today. Here is one of what he shared to us...

And just like what our pastor preached to us the other week, if there is recession, there is also an increase if we only know the keys to having these promises fulfilled. By HIS plans, and that's just the way it is. HE IS GOD ALONE! And I can only trust in our GOD! OUR GOD WHO MAKES ALL THINGS POSSIBLE!

I thank our beautiful GOD for my beautiful Cody. A handsome man inside and out. A man of GOD. A man who truly fears the LORD is what we need in our lives, ladies. If you think you might run out of guys, think again. GOD has already prepared that perfect guy for you. ONLY BELIEVE.

Marriage is of GOD

To Mirror God's Image

Genesis 1:27
And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Hanging in my mother's bedroom is a photograph of the Grand Teton Mountains. I gave her that 8x10-inch enlargement after photographing the Tetons from the edge of Jenny Lake.

The morning I took that picture, Jenny Lake was like a mirror. If you take the photo and turn it upside down you can't tell which mountains are real and which are a reflection.

When I look at that picture, I think of God's first purpose for marriage: to mirror His image. To "mirror" God means to reflect Him; to magnify, exalt and glorify Him. A successful marriage between two committed Christians provides a tangible model of God's love to a world that desperately needs to see who He is.

Because we're created in the image of God, people who wouldn't otherwise know what God is like should be able to look at us and get a glimpse of Him. People are never more like God than when they love one another and remain committed to each other despite their flaws.

But what happens if you toss a stone into that perfect reflection? My good friend and colleague Dave Sunde told me he once visited Jenny Lake on that same kind of clear, still day. He watched a boy skip a small stone across the placid water and immediately the perfect reflection of the mountains was distorted. God's image, His reflection, is distorted when a husband or wife allows sin to enter his or her life or relationship. Your marriage represents God; protect it from the "stones"-the sin-that will distort His image.

Prayer:
That God will help you keep your "mirror" polished and clear, so His image will be reflected in the way your family lives.

Discuss: When people look at your marriage, how do they see an example of God's love? What would people learn about God from your marriage?

This is one of my favorites (my email devotional tonight). Well, all the articles of this couple. hehehe! I am just so overwhelmed on how GOD is blessing me in all aspects of my life especially in having a comparable helper and lifetime partner in the faith.

Before I read this, I was already thinking of Cody. While I was reading this, I was still thinking of him. And a beautiful realization dawned on me.

Earlier while Cody and I were chatting online, he told me that we truly have a special relationship because we think of marrying each other even when we only had 2 weeks of being together physically. A year of friendship. Our relationship as a couple will celebrate its first year soon.

I also remember someone say that real love is thinking of marriage with a person you say that you love (romantic love, of course). Love is a lifetime commitment. You can't jump from one partner to another trying to find which one is better but always bringing out the best out of each other (with only one partner for life) with the complete guidance of GOD. You just don't give up when you feel like it. I've learned that in a year with Cody. Of course, we got the BIGGEST help from our FATHER.

I am so ecstatic to know that our relationship is grounded on GOD. Never in my mind have occurred that I will ever have a relationship like this. I am so humbled to inform you that never once, not even a hint, Cody ever gave up on me. He never even told me that. He always wants to work things out. Inspite of our differences, he makes a way for my passion to be his passion, as well. To consider the things that I like that he didn't like before. hehehe! I am just blushing right now thinking that a guy would do that for me. Also, I am just astonished that after a year of this long distance relationship with just 2 weeks of being together, Cody remains faithful. And that is because he is faithful to our GOD. IT IS ALL GOD!

As I always say, marriage is a good thing but no marriage in this world is perfect. Every marriage has its own flaws. It only takes one GOD to make things right. Right in HIS eyes. I still believe in a marriage that GOD created. Every marriage is HIS. GOD is only waiting for you to ask for HIS help. Complete submission. If you can submit to GOD, you can also submit to your spouse in a way that is pleasing to the LORD.

And yes...we are certainly getting there...I only see myself walking in that aisle while Cody is waiting for me at the altar. The altar of GOD.

And above it all, my first desire in our unity as a couple is to glorify GOD alone. To let other people know that with GOD, nothing is impossible. We have yet to see the beauty of our future together that will unravel amazingly in our very eyes with all of GOD's eternal love, amazing grace, neverending faithfulness and mighty power.

How about you? Do you ever want to glorify GOD in your marriage? Think about it. I won't force you to do it. Neither GOD.

But remember: With GOD, everything is POSSIBLE!

I don't know where to post this but might as well post it in both blogs. But since I want to glorify GOD, I'll post it here, too.

GOD truly answers prayers. Even prayers you do not offer to HIM. Your heart's desires.

HE knows what you need before you say it. HE knows the answer to your question before you ask it.

Isaiah 65:24
Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.

Last night, I asked but there was only one specific prayer which is silent. I asked what I should do about a problem I've had yesterday. I kept on telling myself that I should be strong and stern this time. When GOD begins to speak, truly, I couldn't ignore and not obey.

First, I received 2 text messages from the same person who is my friend for 10 years now, Julie Ann...

"Never think that GOD's delays are GOD's denials. Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Patience is genius." ~This was what GOD revealed to my heart because of a certain thing I've been waiting to happen this year.

"GOD has HIS own way of making you smile especially at times when you wanna give up and lose hope. Certain surprises come your way that make you rise and keep on going." ~This is a revelation to a complication Cody and I was having this week. It is in a romantic kind of love that you experience the extremes of everything because you are dealing with your helper that GOD has given you and a tangible partner that GOD reserved for you. BUT there are no perfect relationships even for Christians. I must admit that Cody is my first earthly love. I feel the extremes with HIM. And I must also admit that because of some differences, sometimes I'd want to give up (which both of us sternly believe should never happen). GOD uses these kinds of relationships to make you stronger emotionally and spiritually. And it is in relationships like these that you learn more in life. Amazingly, GOD wants this relationship. With my ever silent prayers, HE answered them with surprises.

So after I received this text message, I asked GOD what surprises.

Here are my surprises...

I overheard my mom reading this with my dad. The published "Our Daily Bread" for 2009 here has this as its January 10, 2009 article. I will only share what struck me from this article:

Are any of your relationships broken or estranged because of something you said or did? Take the initiative. Go now and do all you can to be reconciled. — Marvin Williams

At the heart of all conflict is a selfish heart.

Then I decided to read my new book. Now, I must say the chapters I've read are the exact answers I needed for my relationship with Cody. Here is one of the lines that helped me with my pondering for days now...

~This was a follow-up to what our pastor preached last Thursday saying that when you and your partner are having problems/trials, you must always try to remember together the beautiful memories in your relationship and the first time you met.

It also tackled about differences and about understanding. I was just really amazed that GOD will use that book. So helpful. I do not really confide to other people because I want GOD to be my first bestfriend and Cody my second bestfriend. But of course, I have accountability partners, too, who are some of my trusted friends and my family. Cody and I are good to go again. GOD is our center. Both of us know that we have grown in our character because with all humility, we accepted the fact that GOD gave us each other to grow emotionally and spiritually. A year of long-distance relationship (7,921 miles) being patient and faithful can attest to that. Communication and forgiveness is very important. Accepting the rebukes and confronting with so much love. Sometimes, not even a faithful friend can rebuke the deepest part of you. GOD uses the most tangible and closest partner you'll have. That is why some call them soulmate and better/other half. Not that you are incomplete but because you are so complete with GOD that HE gives you a bonus. A beautiful incomparable gift from our FATHER.

I was also blessed with Worship Service earlier that it overwhelmed my heart for GOD, Cody and others. I will share the sermon later. I went home alone but filled with so much love and hope for a brighter future. I can feel the spiritual breakthrough and I desire more. I am so blessed that I can feel the spiritual and financial breakthrough even personally right here, right now. I believe that the Holy Spirit is not only in a church building, church meetings, revivals, concerts and such. It is also in you when you are alone grieving for a lost loved one, praying for a soul mate, angry at a friend, abused by your parent, full of problems or just happily in love with someone. I have been won by GOD here in my room and HE continuously transforms me into the woman HE wants me to be here in my room, as well. BUT, of course, GOD wants us to have fellowship with others which I highly suggest. hehehe! GOD uses other people to as HIS instruments to encourage and love you. HE just needs a willing heart because HE doesn't force us to love and obey HIM. HE loves and respects us that much.

OH oh oh...I must add an article from one of my favorite couples. Certainly, A Cody-Honesty situation but I guess I don't burst that much. I mostly stay silent. And I mean silent. hehehe!

That did it. "Priorities! How do you prioritize a busted washer and a sick child? How am I supposed to prioritize workmen who keep the house in a state of total disaster all day before I'm leaving? Here I try to get everything right so we don't have to come home to chaos, and you talk about setting priorities!"

Dennis was stunned. His dependable, loving, normally unflappable wife had flipped! The rest of the trip was spent in near silence.

At that point we had a choice: We could resolve our conflict and save the trip, or we could let our anger simmer.

So after we had arrived and unpacked, I told Dennis I was sorry for getting angry. And he hugged me and said, "Honey, I'm sorry I said what I said. I wasn't being very sensitive. You do a great job of keeping everything straight and getting us ready. I hate it when we're at odds with each other."

These are just some parts of the article. Cody always give choices like this but differently worded, of course: We could resolve our conflict or we could let our anger simmer.

I thank GOD for letting me grow in character through the people HE is using in my life right now. I thank Cody for the heart he has for GOD.

JESUS CHRIST is my LORD and SAVIOR but HE made love tangible through my Cody.

I truly am blessed to have a fiance that's super patient and faithful to me inspite of the distance. We may have complications at times but then GOD is faithful. GOD wants this relationship til eternity. There is no perfect marriage out there even Christian marriages have their own ups and downs. I was wondering last night why Cody and I have been experiencing complications even when we're a Christian couple.

Truly amazing coz last yesterday I alloted some time to pray for this relationship but mainly for Cody. I prayed for myself but mostly about Cody. Can you believe that GOD will answer my question through Cody? Well, I've deleted that message but he said that GOD is dealing with us while we're away from each other and that GOD has been giving us dealings now so that we'll be a stronger couple when we're married.

It was overwhelming when he woke up and told me things I never expected he would say because we were experiencing a complication. Cody told me that he prayed when he woke up. These are some of the few messages in our conversation last night that took my breath away.

"just know that i love you and still desire only you. i prayed about that this morning"

"well i know both of us want to be happy with each other. there could be far worse things in our lives compared to the complications we experience. i can still see growth through our complications. but, of course, we should be growing past certain complications. that's gonna be up to our discernment and maturity. communication is important"

"i prayed for the wisdom and patience to continue communicating with you so we can get past complications. that i can feel you're the one for me and i'm not looking for a way out of this relationship. that i'd rather repair what we have"

"not many Christians have an 8000 mile relationship"

"i know i feel hurt and sad at times in this relationship, but the unique love i feel for you always overpowers that. i'm thankful for that realization"

"but we can get past that. we won't let that be the downfall of this relationship. we can overcome"

"i need you, too. i want to be a helping partner for you. i want you to feel safe and secure when confiding in me. i don't want to ignore you. i want to help"

"i see hostility and rude remarks in a relationship next door so i have a clear demonstration of how NOT to act towards you. i never want us to be like that and i believe we never will. that's why we go through the pains now"

"i admire the perseverance of this relationship"

"btw, i don't want to disagree with you. i love when we can agree with each other and be a team like that"

I am so thankful that inspite of the hardships in this long-distance relatioship, GOD still wants this relationship. We may have a different situation and different circumstances with other couples but I know that GOD is the center of this and GOD is molding us into the couple that HE wants us to be. I am also thankful because honestly, Cody and I have matured together and it has been a year and we're going stronger as a couple of GOD. I am grateful that GOD has given Cody the patience, faithfulness and wisdom because I believe that all of those things only come from GOD. Apart from GOD, we are nothing.

Before I met Cody, the only prayer I've had in having a partner is to glorify GOD alone through the relationship. I really hope that this relationship is really glorifying GOD alone because HE is the one who brought us together and who is binding us forever - stronger than ever.

Eversince I've had Cody as my boyfriend, I have never seen my future with another man anymore. I've never told myself, "What if I break up with him, will I meet someone better?" because I know that he is the only perfect partner GOD has reserved for me.

Of course, you don't know what we're going through. hehehe! But then it is enough to know that GOD is so good and if HE gives you HIS Perfect Will, HE will do everything to keep you both together as a couple. How do I know? Well, I first confide in GOD then in Cody. GOD gives the revelations and wisdom in handling this relationship. If GOD is my first bestfriend, Cody is my second bestfriend.

Cody, you are my one-and-only lifetime partner. GOD is so good for providing me a man who will stand by me through thick and thin. And I believe that HE will provide more for us as a couple because HE created and planned this relationship beautifully. I love you with all of me!

A Beautiful 2008

One whole year of friendship.

Last year before entering 2008, I've met Cody. I remember he spent his new year with brother and friends. He made his well-known spicy chicken wings and they had a movie marathon. And they'll do it again...hahaha!

It's unbelievable until now. I have such a good man. Goodlooking. hahaha!

GOD's Perfect Choice for me.

We celebrated our 8-month relationship last December 26th. I believe that 2009 is a promising year for us.

Our most beautiful dreams together as a couple will come true. I believe so. In GOD's Perfect Will and Timing. Our GOD can do the most impossible things. I've witnessed HIM do it in my life so many times already.

A prayer is an amazing gift from you, my dear friends.

I am just touched that I got teary-eyed when Cody told me that for him, I am already his wife but we have to make it official soon (my utmost prayers and desires for this). The first and true love of his life. Eros kind of love, of course.

I have never loved like this before. Truly, I know that this is the only love I know. My first love (next to GOD - which is a given hehehe).

While I was eating, the tv was on and I was hearing female celebrities say that they'd just want someone unattractive because in that way, the guy won't cheat. In that way, the guy won't be sought by other women that will make the guy cheat somehow.

While I was pondering, I thought of girl friends of mine who have been waiting for so long (with agony) for the man they desire according to GOD's Will.

While I was thinking of a widow, I've thought that I will never tolerate debts made individually or as a couple after my husband and I get married. In that way, when one of us passes away (which is a reality that happens), the bereaved won't be left with all the debts.

I have been thinking a lot, weren't I? hahaha!

This is the promise I stood by when I was still single. Well, when I was still not committed to anyone. hehehe! I'm still single but soon to be married. Hopefully very soon.

I am so overwhelmed with joy because I not only have a faithful fiance but he is also very goodlooking. More than what I desired. Expect the unexpected with GOD. I did not really wait so long and that is something I could really be thankful for with GOD. GOD gave me my beautiful blessing at the right time. GOD's Perfect Timing. I am very much pleased that GOD gave me a man who knows how to save and a wise spender so I do not have problems about debts. GOD's love and grace be upon us always! GOD IS AN EXTRAVAGANT GIVER OF LIFE AND BLESSINGS!

I wanted something different. I got this idea from C.Beth from The One-Minute Writer. Instead of one single haiku, I've made a 5-stanza haiku. Is that possible? Well, I think so since I've done it already. hahaha!

Anyway, this blog is dedicated to my ever-loving partner, Cody. I can hardly wait to marry you, darling. You just make me feel so special. After all that we've been through, all I can say is that GOD always makes a way for everything. Everything that is according to HIS Will. Truly, you are HIS Perfect Will for me. I am certain about that.

"Love does not answer why or how, but only when, and the answer is always the same: NOW AND FOREVER."

One of the beautiful things Cody told me:

"I wasn't seeking love and then decided to built on it with you. You're a Heavenly blessing and love just happened. It happened because of everything I desire in you. My first love. My only love."

Can I just float in the clouds now? hehehe! I've never been the 'first love' (GOD is our first love...a given! hahaha). Way back then, while I was treated a side dish, I was treated a trash, too. But now, for the very first time in my life, I was treated as GOD's princess.

The only foundation we want for our relationship is CHRIST.

Seven beautiful months and going stronger and further. This is the life worth living. Life has its own bumps but GOD intends happiness for each one of us. Here and everywhere. The Purpose-Driven Life.

When we choose to be pessimistic, the devil will prove what he can do. But when we choose to be optimistic, GOD will prove HIS ultimate power over all HIS creation.

You may not see how GOD wants it but you can trust in HIS unfailing love. When HE moves, it can be mysterious but it will always be surprising coz HE will make you see life in a beautiful light.

I never stopped believing in LOVE. Love is my fuel. GOD is Love.

If I had to live my life again, I'd still choose to end up with Cody. He is a beautiful man. And I thank my beautiful GOD for him. GOD is Cody's past, present and future.

Unbelievably Amazing

Earlier at service, the sermon was about 'Amazing Grace.'

Then my memory brought me back to the time when I was in sin. After I backslid, sins came running to me, demons rejoicing and world's problems came tumbling over me.

My memory also brought me back to men who abused me. Men who tried to control me. Men who just wanted my body. Men who verbally and mentally abused me. Men who used me financially. Men who just didn't respect me as a precious daughter of GOD.

No grudges though. Forgiven and forgotten.

GOD's undying love, neverending faithfulness and amazing grace led me back HOME.

Ok that was my introduction. hahaha! Now, here's my climax. hahaha!

CLIMAX: My past life can be defined in one word: boys. It revolved around boys. I had plenty of crushes like a normal highschool girl has. I had plenty of boyfriends. Some serious, some weren't. Because of the certain desire of having the 'love of my life', I drowned myself into sin. I even had a boyfriend who always wanted me to drink alcohol with him and his friends. When I compare my life now and back then, I would say it was a battle of good and evil. Sin got me by using a 'boy' but GOD got me by using a 'guy.' I got tired. I was depressed and because of the faith instilled by my parents in me when I was a youngster, I turned to GOD. I sought HIM with all my heart. I changed for HIM. GOD is the love of my life.

That's another introduction. hahaha!

The desire of having a lifetime partner still remained in my heart. I knew I was going to meet him in GOD's Perfect Timing. While I was waiting anxiously (hahaha), I decided to just surrender it to GOD and told HIM that even if HE doesn't give me a husband, I will still love HIM with all of me. I told HIM that I will glorify HIM with my relationship if ever HE gives me my helper.

Months after that, GOD gave me a friend. This friend helped me grow spiritually and emotionally as an individual. This friend helped me grow in character. As I was growing, this friend was growing with me, too. Until now, this friend continues to grow with me. Our strong foundation is CHRIST. This friend became my best friend. He, then, became my special someone, my boyfriend...my fiance´. His beautiful name is Cody Lee Howe (pronounced as how).

Cody never left me. Not even once. He was a very faithful friend. He desires for my spiritual and emotional growth. I can say now that after 11 months, we definitely grew and still growing together as a couple. It became all clear to me now that he is GOD's Perfect Choice for me. Well, I've already known that last April. hehehe! It's just amazing to look back and say, "Wow I've really grown with him. Now I know why GOD gave him to me." After 11 months of being friends and after 7 months of being a couple, I am still deeply in love with him every second of my breathing life. Actually, my love for him grows stronger each day. It's a cliche I know but it is really what I feel. I am in love with him like the very first day I realized that I love him unconditionally 7 months ago. But more than that day, of course. Infinity plus one. hehehe!

I am just so amazed at how Cody treats me with so much love and respect. He tells and shows me things that no other guy in my past had told and shown me. Earlier this afternoon, he made me love him more deeply. How? Well, here's a peek at how our conversation went...

cody: only you have invoked these feelings in me. i've never talked like this before. and i don't feel like i need to impress you. rather, i desire to satisfy you. not because you demand it, but because you appreciate it. i see the real and unique beauty in you and i want that in my life. we'll be happy in God's grace.

One of my heart's desires is to glorify GOD alone in my relationship with Cody. I desire to encourage the singles out there to wait and be patient for GOD knows what's best for everyone. I also desire to inspire married couples to always communicate, as what Cody believes. Humility is an effective ingredient in life. Love GOD first, love others second. Then everything else will follow.

A Gift from Heaven

~ I am truly blessed to have a boyfriend who is VERY patient to stick with me through thick and thin. I can't even describe how I'm so grateful to have him in my life. He is truly a GOD-given gift. He gives me unconditional love. I have been transformed but I have to admit that I have a struggle that I should get rid of. I need emotional stability. In the process of going through this struggle and growing in CHRIST, Cody firmly decided 10 months ago to love me for the rest of his life and to patiently deal with me. Oh I am not easy to handle. hahaha! CAUTION:HOT! hahaha! jk Cody has been given a beautiful revelation while they were playing a certain board game. He proposed to me earlier to write certain goals/rules for our relationship to remind us about our character growth. I was then reminded of a Scripture verse I've read...

I would love to explain every stanza since some of the words/phrases used do not impress me hahaha!

1st stanza - We all long for that certain partner. A special void given by GOD reserved for a special person. A person who will be the closest to us. Well, I came from a heartache when I returned to GOD. GOD used my pain to win me back. Even if I was given that joy from GOD, deep in my heart, I was still yearning for my future lifetime partner (as we all are and did for married couples).

2nd stanza - I would like to acknowledge that GOD reached out to me first before I found my 'one.'

3rd stanza - Of course, we all need a helper, as what GOD desires for us. GOD wants the BEST for us. I was very satisfied with the solitude but when GOD gave me Cody, HE made me see a different light. A partner in flesh. Cody, you are the one. Out of all the billions of people in the world, I just can't believe you're mine! You are so amazing! I don't know what I did to deserve you but you are just so perfect for me.

4th stanza - This part is for GOD. HE is my yesterday, today and forever.

5th stanza - Of course, I do not believe in 'falling in love' so let's remove that. hahaha! Let's probably change that with 'grow in love' to make it more real and heart-to-heart.

Oh c'mon Cody, don't laugh at me. hehehe! Yeah I need to explain. I like the song because I would like you to know that you filled that special void in my heart that only you can fill even when GOD already completes me. You are my beautiful bonus from GOD. The Creator of Marriage.

I am amazed on how GOD uses my relationship with my honey. Cody just told me earlier how his friend is amazed at how we handle our relationship patiently and in a Godly way (no sex involved). I am inspired to do more for GOD. For GOD to consume me and take all of me to glorify HIMSELF!

GOD's power and faithfulness in my lovelife

It was difficult for me to pick a title for this post because I was just going to have a simple testimony. I was amazed though and still am. Should I start? hahaha!

Testimony:
First testimony, I am just amazed that I will see my honey very soon. It is amazing how GOD moved in our relationship and still does. I surrendered my boyfriend's visit to GOD. I prayed that 'GOD will make a way' and HE did. In fact, it was at the perfect time because Cody has a new job now and to top it off, he has a Christian employer who gave him the permission to visit me so it gave Cody a flexible schedule to visit somehow. We were stressing about the visiting schedule. Before, we planned it on July, September and then we almost postponed it to January. As Christians who trust GOD so much, HE never failed us. As what HE promised in Mark 11:24. Second, we were also trying our best to find a way how to lessen expenses with cellphone load because we'd rather use the money for our future. I was using SMS before which costs 2.50pesos/message. Then we tried transferring to the mobile internet which costs 20pesos/hour. Astoundingly, I saw a website beside my friend's yahoo messenger ID while she was online. It says iMessenger - www.sim.ph so I was curious and I visited it. Then I found out it was free trial for your first day of usage and that it's .50cents/message and funny coz I have all networks Smart, Globe and Sun. hahaha! But something is nicer while I was trying to log in my account this morning, I found out that you could actually buy a whole day (24 hours) for only 20pesos. It was such a relief. GOD is so good and faithful! Third, all relationships have rough edges. It's either you deal with them or you don't. Cody and I deal and resolve every complication. One of the best solution is praying together before talking. I have long been a Christian but I only thought of it this week. hahaha! Funny coz I always pray for us but sometimes, I feel like nothing's working coz I get upset for the smallest things (my struggle eversince, for some reason) whenever we talk. But these past 2 days were amazing coz we prayed before we talked. I mean really talk. hehehe! And I can confidently say that I didn't get upset. GOD is already our center but allowing HIM to do that with prayer is WOW! I have never done it before with my past relationships and being able to do it with the man GOD has given me is totally new and unique. Superb!

Cody and I thank GOD so much for the growth each day, for HIS wonderful wisdom and gift of discernment for each one of us. GOD never stops in our relationship. Every day is our day with GOD!

Love is Selfless

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..."

One of my most favorite verses that's why it's all over my 2 blogs and some of my posts. hehehe! This verse simply says that love is selfless.

At first, it was difficult to believe that true love still exists. But when GOD started to move in my life mightily, I never doubted anymore that He can provide me the most perfect man ever.

Last night, I have read one of my friend's profiles in Friendster. Just dinking around. Trying to see what's new with my friends without being in Friendster. hahaha! Ok honey, relax. hahaha! Well, so I've read the part wherein it says 'who i want to meet', my friend answered, 'loving, caring, faithful and so on (good qualities)' then she said if that guy still exists. I suddenly told myself as I was thinking of my Cody, "that guy still exists but he's already mine" hahaha!

I've met a lot of Christian men but only a few (very few) have good character but I must say, my Cody has it all! I mean, it is so hard for me to think of negative qualities about him. Not even one. Honest! hehehe! I believe that GOD gave me the best. When I try to ponder about it, those men in my past can't compare to Cody because he's simply incomparable. A beautiful person. An amazing creation. GOD did an awesome masterpiece. Really.

Philippians 2:3
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves."

When it comes to selflessness, I am so speechless but then I would blog it out so I'm not considered speaking. hahaha! jk Cody is selfless. He always, I mean always, thinks of my happiness. He is never happy when I'm upset. He never stops pursuing me if I'm sad. I get sad and upset because of me. hahaha! He believes that my happiness is his happiness. He is not just saying it. It really shows. One more thing that really hit me. He told me that he is willing to endure a lame job just to see me because he knows I'll be very happy to see him and to be my birthday gift. hehehe! I see his sacrifices for me and it is not everyday that you will have the chance to meet that perfect someone so if you do, don't let that person go! But, of course, GOD will make a way! HE always does in HIS perfect time. That's the main reason why I have what I have now and I am who I am now. GOD is so gracious, good and faithful. By GOD's amazing grace and love, HE gave me a partner. A partner whom I will never exchange for anything or anyone else in this world.

My Cody, thank you for sharing with me your life selflessly. I really appreciate you. Your existence in my life can never be replaced by any other man. You are the one GOD has intended for me. I will be forever grateful for the gift of you. Til eternity. I desire to spend my whole life with you. A life on earth and a life in heaven. It is so good to know that you will be with me in Paradise. Paradise with our amazing FATHER!

FATHER in Heaven, YOU are our LOVE and our PORTION! YOU have us forever until we see YOU face to face. WE LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH MORE THAN ANYTHING AND ANYONE ELSE IN THIS WORLD! Always reign in our relationship, our dear LORD!

My destiny

I am greatly inspired to move this relationship onto a path leading to GOD more each day. I never knew but I hoped and desired for this to happen. I am even more astounded by the truth of love. The mere providence of GOD of this beautiful relationship made me think that GOD really created marriage. I have been given a wisdom from God I never had before. Now, the convictions as well as the revelations in having this relationship are overwhelming.

And to make it simple, I am very much joyous to know that GOD is using my relationship with Cody to inspire young people to wait for the right time and do the right things in front of GOD.

I only desired it before. I desired so much to have a relationship that will glorify GOD alone then I surrendered it all to Him. GOD deserves all the glory in everything. I never want to exclude Him in our plans and in our lives as a couple. GOD gave me a very loving boyfriend. Someone whom I will never regret to have. Someone whom negative things couldn't be thought of and said about. He is a good man. He is incomparably amazing and unique. Of all the men I've met, he has the wisest convictions. Not to insult others. hehehe! Of course, for me, he is the perfect and best of all because I truly know he is my heart's desire and my GPC with GPW in GPT. Puzzled now? hahaha!

I've been sharing my lovelife with my youths. Jergens as the one who knows almost everything because she shows interest and has a trustworthy heart that she shared with me. A youth won by GOD. A youth gifted with wisdom. She has been faithful in asking questions about my lovelife. One day, I told her a story. The Bible story. hahaha! A few hours after that, she texted me that she thinks Cody and I are corny but she feels a certain rush of blood (kilig factor) for us and that she is very much inspired with our relationship. She hopes of having the same relationship in the future. A beautiful relationship. I am truly amazed on how GOD can use even my relationship with my boyfriend to glorify HIM alone. Cody and I are very much thrilled to know that we inspire these young people. This is one of the best things in life. To be able to glorify GOD in everything you do.

One of the most awesome things was when Cody told me that he knows something special is in me even if I didn't show the interest that he has shown for me. He has been very patient that he never backed out of my life. Never even thought of it. Also, that he finds me attractive even in my unattractive moments. hahaha! He never fails to show me that I am the very first lady he has loved and will love forever til eternity. Actually, I am the first for him in almost everything. A very preserved being just for me. Thank you, LORD!

I can never express enough of how happy I am that I do not have a hint of guilt for the very first time in a relationship. Cody is just really so amazing. He is such a hidden character to a lot of people because of the low profile. I'd truly agree that he has gifts that GOD has given to him to touch this one heart...mine! He has ways that would truly leave me in awe. Cody has shown me things I never knew existed in human love. A very humble spirit that focuses on the very heart of GOD by isolation. At the perfect time, GOD gave me to him. As Eve was given to Adam. A helper, a partner, the other half. This is my destiny. GOD as the center and the solid foundation. Thank God for the growth of character and the test of faith. Cody and I are very grateful for the people who believe in us. Thank you so much! You are all appreciated.

This was just a dream of human love before. Now, I have it. A point of realization. LORD, you are awesome in this relationship!

We both thank our parents for the amazing attitudes given by GOD that they have imparted to us. If not for their upbringing, we won't be the persons we are now. Thank you so much for the humility and the unconditional love.

FATHER, thank you for being our Love and our Life! YOU are our destiny!

My beautiful lovelife

"Better to love a man who loves God more than you whom you have known for a few months than a wicked man whom you have known for years."

I am very blessed with my man who respects me as he respects himself. Who loves me as he loves himself. Most of all, who loves GOD above all! No one can ever really judge our relationship. Only God can. Praise GOD for my God-centered relationship that I've never had before!

A cute revelational testimony:
Cody and I have been sharing attitudes. It's fun to have a Godly relationship coz you influence each other in a good way.

2 Corinthians 6:14
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

First, he has been like me now. Earlier, he told me about a song 'The Great Commands' and how he likes it so much that he had to whistle it a lot. hahaha! Well, I can't whistle. hahaha! Second, he just found out that his Bible was given to him as a gift last November 15, 1998 (my birthday). So neat! That's all!

When you are in a God-centered relationship, you truly rejoice over little things that God gives you. Thank God for my wonderful Cody!

My Future Marriage

I just read an article about marriage and I found myself smiling excitedly and agreeing all throughout every page. I will share the pointers shared in that article. You can also visit the website which is found on the lower right section (All about Love) of my blog entitled "Build a Marriage that goes the Distance" by Whitney Hopler.

1.) Pursue JESUS first.
~~~I truly believe this. I was transformed and turned my back from the sinful life I used to have before I met my boyfriend, Cody. I focused on God's ministry. I focused on God. I focused on following Jesus and desiring to be Christ-like in every way. I have admitted to God verbally that I would not really care if I get married or not as long as He is always there. Whatever is His Will for me.

2.) Remove the pressure.
~~~I stopped worrying and trying to make a relationship with every guy I meet. I have learned to surrender my lovelife to God and stop the pressure in me. I wanted a relationship that will glorify Him alone. I never had a relationship like that. I started believing and approving to the verse:

2 Corinthians 6:14
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

When I started putting a foundation on that verse, I built more friendships with other male Christians. I just stayed a bit farther from unbelievers (or pre-believers as what our pastor said). I examined their relationships with family, friends and churchmates. Also, I stopped forcing myself to get attracted to someone. It's unbearable. While I was reading the last few lines in this 2nd pointer, I was all smiling and nodding. Here are two lines:

"Don’t settle for less than God’s best for you. Remember that, in your search for your future spouse, you can’t find the winner if you’re dating a runner-up."

I just realized that I almost settled for the runner-up but then God led me faithfully to my winner...my Cody!

3.) Build relationships gradually.
~~~Cody and I started with friendship. Real friendship. There was this one time I was having a problem, he was the only person whom I confided to. And to think, we had one major understanding before that. He lovingly stayed with me. He never left me til I felt better. We truly started with friendship without malice. Friendship that naturally grew romantically. It's amazing. We began to share our worlds. Opened up our hearts fearlessly. Shared our dreams carefully.

In the second gear part on page 2 of the article, all my answers were yes. In the third gear, we are moving to the path of marriage. Fourth gear, well, honey, we gotta be engaged! hahaha! jk hahaha! Fifth gear, oh wow I am very much excited to get married with my one-and-only Cody!

4.) Guard your sexual integrity.
~~~True! I am so grateful for a boyfriend who has wise convictions. Sometimes wiser than mine. hahaha! A good, rational brain. He never wants to compromise our sexual life. He is very consistent with this matter. I am so blessed! I have read a book by Joshua Harris entitled "Not even a hint" before I met Cody. But I think it's title has been changed. I'm not sure. It's an amazing book. I recommend it to all of you. My beliefs with sex has been shaken in my past but truly GOD IS FAITHFUL! I wanted to blog earlier about sex in relationships but I was doubtful at first because it's a very sensitive topic but then I read this article and wonderfully it said, "...and writing an inspiring love story to share with others." More to come though. Do not risk your marriage by premarital sex. Sex is sacred. Sex was created by GOD. But it is to be done rightfully at the right time and in the right ways and places too. Lust will destroy the beauty of sex. Learn to wait. Sex is beautiful. Enjoy it at GOD's perfect time and you will never feel guilty or ashamed.

Thank you, Cody! I know you are my every heart's desire as a future husband. I thank GOD for your wise convictions and your heart for GOD! I am blessed to have you!

5.) Don't play house.
~~~I never believed in living together before marriage. Thank GOD Cody and I will get married before living together. hehehe! Am I right, Cody? hahaha! jk

Marriage isn't a game. It is very serious. God is serious with every command in His Holy Word.

Genesis 2:24
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."

Marriage and sex. Very clear. Where does sex happen? In the house privately. So marriage first before living together and having sex. It's as simple as that.

6.) Break up when you need to do so.
~~~If you are with an unbeliever, I advise you to break up. But then, I also believe in commitment. A commitment is a covenant offered to God. When you break a covenant, it becomes a curse. Am I scaring you now? hehehe! Well, it's up to your convictions and what God is telling you. Listen attentively with your whole being and wholeheartedly. Do not be afraid to break up because God has a plan in your life. The best plan ever. I was so afraid to break up with the ex but then God made a way and I am so happy that the ex broke up with me because I met my Cody a few months after. The ex is an unbeliever, by the way, who wanted an ungodly relationship. Now I know why God has allowed everything that happened in my past.

7.) Rewrite the story of your life.
~~~Surrender everything to God. Rely on God's Word, God's Will, God's love and God's grace. God is working all things for the good of those who love Him.

8.) Set your priorities wisely.
~~~GOD, family and ministry. Intimacy with God. Your spouse. Your children. Remember that your family is your first ministry (an insight from my mom). Then your ministry outside your home. Know your priorities and set your feet on THE ROCK (JESUS).

9.) Keep passion alive.
~~~There is never a day that my love and passion for Cody do not grow. I love him more each day. I respect him more each day. I admire him more each day. I trust him more each day. My attraction to him grows more each day. I always make it a point to say that I love him so very much even if we have complications. Love grows more that way. Hatred doesn't have an entry point. He never stops pursuing me. He also reassures me every time that he will never get lazy in our relationship. It is true and I can hardly wait for all the experiences to come after marriage.

10.) Deepen intimacy.
~~~Intimacy with God first. Cody and I always try to communicate every feeling or hurt we have. Every problem. Just everything under God's guidance. We are very open and honest with each other and we both make it a point to listen carefully. Intimacy is very significant in relationships.

11.) Embrace your different roles.
~~~I have my own way of reminding Cody about his roles as a man. Now, he is very strong and he consistently tells me that he's the leader. hahaha! Well, honey, you are doing a good job. We're headed on the right track. The man should always lead you to God's Word and to GOD Himself. Women should always be submissive and dependent on GOD. Only submit to godly husbands though. hehehe! Women should never insult or badmouth their men. It is an insecurity for them. Always be a blessing to your husband in every way. Be gracious as God is full of grace.

1 Corinthians 11:7
"A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man."

12.) Build healthy habits.
~~~Cody and I believe that every change should start before marriage not during. Why? Practice before marriage makes perfect. You will have the tendency to feel that you are forced to change when you do it during the marriage. You will also have the tendency to get tired and sick after that. Healthy habits such as talking over and resolving conflicts before marriage is very useful because it allows both of you to perfect the love God has given both of you and you will have a wonderful marriage that you will not get sick of. All the emotional baggage and insecurities should be dealt with before marriage so you will never bring it up during marriage. You should desire a happy marriage. Overlook offenses and unintended hurts is very important and forgive easily. Hate pride. It is never good for any kind of relationship.

Proverbs 19:11
"A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense."

Grow in GOD together. Cody and I have a habit of reminding each other to pray and read the Bible even though we know that we will both do it. Funny.

Always lead each other to GOD.

13.) Base your marriage in a covenant.
~~~I always tell Cody that I will never leave him because it is a covenant I made to God. Not only that, it's because I love him unconditionally.

How about you? Do you want a Godly marriage? Examine your relationships right now. If you are single and still waiting, don't get tired because God is either preparing you or your future spouse. If you are married, always glorify GOD in your marriage. Fear God above all and He will guide your every step. Surrender everything to Him.

Make an impact. Make a difference. Make a ripple. Tip the scale.

Honey, your dad is absolutely grateful for having a son like you. Your future little Cody's and little Honesty's are already blessed to have you as their daddy. Do not contradict now. hahaha! jk

Our Spot in CO

Need I say more? I can hardly wait to be there, honey!

This spot..our spot will be more beautiful when we're both there together. Especially at night. Oooooo romantic! hahaha!

I am so blessed to actually have a spot with someone I can call my partner. A spot in God's beautiful creation. A spot we can dwell in that we can call ours.

Of all the spots in this world, there's that one spot we always want to be ours forever...a spot in GOD's heart!

"I will put My dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be My people."

Revelation 21:3-4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
